He has major issues with Agar and where the board is taking the club, he believes this will be reflected in our final position at the end of the season....I believe he is wrong, so if he loses the bet he would then have to go to the forum and instead of complaining like he has in the past he then has to acknowledge Agar and the board are going in the right direction. If I lose I will go and raise the issues....This is no joke.

There is no issue with him constantly complaining about Agar & Co, but if they do go in the right direction (which I feel they personally did last season, still a long way to go though) surely he will want to congratulation them and admit he was wrong!

I don't think anyone was expecting us to go from 12th to Champions in one fell swoop. As you say, there are some deep rooted problems which need addressing before we can legitimately put together a serious consistent tilt at honours. The problem that some of us have is that we don't believe in the current coach, we don't believe that he is capable of delivering that success no matter what squad is assembled.

He isn't the only factor, but he is a factor. One of the issues which needs to alter before we can begin to challenge the game's elite.

I think you are missing my point mate! I am simply asking people if you replaced Agar with Potter (for example) would he get far more out of the current squad ie do you think the Hull squad is under performing and is a top 4 squad.

I will decide if and when I want to go and just because I see the bigger picture doesn't make me anymore or any less of a fan just because I vent my feelings and do not class faliure as a reward because thats all I see. I have played,coached,and watched more games than you have washed,cooked,and cleaned for your husband. If you think were going in the right direction fine,i don't. Im not happy with a coach that txts fans slagging his players off,neither am I happy that he now has his team but the standard of performance is pi$$ poor,neither am I happy that I don't see that our coach has improved or made any of the team into better players,i would expect a sl team to have more than 4 moves. Im a hull fc fan and will continue to support my team regardless of the poor coach in charge ala peter sharp,as i'll still be going long after he has gone. So there you have it we are a massive club and with a better coach we would have a better pool of players and have more chance of success and I don't expect faliure to be rewarded. As for sucking up to agar think you find at the forum at truck theatre when everyone was gunning for agar I was the only one then to take him to task and ask any difficult questions. Have done the pots yet?

Difficult to say because some good sides finished infront of you but the rugby that i saw on the whole from Hull was pretty un-inspiring and you came up short in the big games that mattered. I would say that on that basis the coach is accountable.

Well said and I agree completely although I genuinely do think some people expected Hull to go from 12th to champions in 12 months.



I would fully expect the board to set Hull's minimum target for 2011 as challengers and if Agar cannot deliver this then he has failed in his role. By challengers I mean genuine contenders for both major finals not simply reaching a decent top 8 spot with a few decent perfomances and big scalps thrown in.

That said I do believe the progression from an absymal 2008/09 league campaigns is often overlooked.

Even if this was true(which it isn't) it has no real relevance to the job Agar has to do in SL.

Again, this is your opinion I saw enough improvement in 2010 to give Agar another year. Before you say it was the new players...who recruited them?

Briscoe is now an established international, Houghton is probably the best Hooker under 25 in SL. Don't forget debuts for Nicklas, Lynne etc. In 2010.

I don't think failure has been rewarded, i think the board are trying to get stability back to the club, with the player turnover we had after 2009 to then change coach soon after would of been suicide. Players like Lee, Thacks and King etc. had to go.

I have watched rugby league from 5 years old, I watched my brothers...I then married a player, I now coach with my hubby who is also a coach, we did the double last year at under 15s...you may have watched more games than I have cleaned for my husband though because I am not a maid, you will not have watched as many as I have cooked for my husband though as I love cooing...tell me are you getting the gist here

And that is despite the fact that your abuse was hurled at someone with whom I've had a couple of spats (funnily enough, about this very same subject).

I'm actually in agreement with your main argument. I also am not convinced that we are on the right road to where this club should be, but you'll be better served presenting that argument in a more rational manner rather than simply hurling out a few out-dated stereo-typical cliched insults.

I still agree with the point you're making mind, just not sure about the manner of it.

I have also had some good debates with Humbug & Big Dave and a few others about Agar etc..I personally have no problem with it, I enjoy the good old arguments we all have about it, the difference is these do not result to the Gene Hunt approach, they just accept I have a different view...the right one of course
