Think Ganson's had a good game TBH.

We have looked much better with Sinfield at dummy half, might be worth starting like that and have Burgess as the 13 for the next game and bring Roby off the bench. I would also start Eastmond ahead of Smith who has been poor.

Felt sorry for Tom, he did nothing wrong for those first half tries and did not deserved to be dropped. However we was a little workshy I felt.

It's okay saying we did well in the 2nd half but the game was already over and Australia eased off.

Eastmond had a good game when he came...although for the wrong plyer...Smith or Magiure should have gone......Think we need another F/B as well...as much as Briscoe is solid and dependable...he just isnt International class.

P***ed right off, My sis put gillet four nations on timer on sky so I thought I was safe and wasnt going to miss it - was really looking forward to it too, I thought it was on sky later 2night and then had to watch the last 20 mins on bbc with rubbish commentators

Agree with that. I think England's resurgence was more to do with Eastmond being on the field instead than Briscoe being off it. A few poor individual reads from Smith cost us too many points in the first half down that wing.

Personally I'd like to see Briscoe and Fox at centre and wing next week and Smith get dropped, but we all know that's not going to happen! Eastmond and Tomkins are a must at 7 and 6, McGuire to the bench to cover the halves.

Sadly Lee Smith appears untouchable! I hope he apologises to Tom for that first half showing.

I agree about Eastmond starting as well. Thought Burgess, Crabtree, Ellis, S. Briscoe and Tomkins all did well.

That 2nd half will probably bring a false sense of how good we are IMO.

What do you base that on about S Briscoe? Thought he had a pretty solid game today, would have liked to see him supporting a bit more but apart from that we did pretty well.

Agree about Eastmond though, he should start instead of smith with Tommy next week.

Thats it though...he is solid,thats it,doesnt make a lot of yards returning the ball...unlike the likes of Slater,Webb,Greenshields.

dont just blame lee smith. there were 10 players stood in a huddle for the entire game, the wingers and full back were just left stood alone on the edges. whoever decided that against australia you only need to defend a third of the pitch is to blame for the barage of tries down the centre/ second row chanels
