I'd consider a 7th or 8th place finish an underachievement with the squad we have. We should expect to finish 6th, with anything higher a bonus.

As regards Agar, I mentioned on the other thread about mental toughness. In the not too distant mast we would have folded at 26-6 down and got absolutely stuffed. That we didn't must, at least in part, be down to Agar.

My point is players ,who are the closest to Agar as far as tactics etc go,seem to be all for him as a coach.
As far as I am concerned I can take or leave Agar,but 4th in the table (at the mo) isn`t bad.I would have snatched it last season.

. Maybe he'll prove to be not as bad as I believe he is, but the fact remains that there are other coaches out there who would have given us better results if they'd been appointed when Agar was.

Yes you're right, we did the double over Saints so everything in the garden is rosy. Also Agar is a better coach than NB, after all we did the the double over Saints!

I respect a lot of what you say on here but like a lot of posters you only base your opinions on the last 2 or 3 games, others prefer to take a view based on the bigger picture.

And yer, i'd love Nathan Brown in charge... I'd love a coach to come in, take us a few 'small' steps forward then feck off and leave us in the as he watches our season collapse around our ears!!

No I do not base my opinions on the last 2 or 3 games...I have had big reservations, however he is with us for 2 more years and I will give credit where it is due, he has got us some good results lately and whilst he does this, or even loses where I can feel my team put in every effort I will get behind him and the lads..

I agree with all those sentiments (although I admit I struggle to get behind Agar himself in any way) I'm just saying that IMO there are far better coaches out there and pretending otherwise doesn't help anything. If Agar goes on to prove that the immense amount of faith the board have shown in his ability is justified then fair play to him and we will all benefit from it as fans, but doing the double over Saints doesn't achieve that for me (although it is an encouraging sign).

When all is said and done there are also better players out there..however we have who we have and go with that and just enjoy the ride...and at the minute it is a decent ride compared to the last 2 years



Also Agar is clearly starting to get the best out of his squad, let us hope this may continue..

Neither does getting to a Challenge cup final in your first season only to lose, which our current coach did also but ours didn't spit his dummy out and quit... he took on the role even though he, alledgedly, could've had the England job and escaped the amount of unnecessary amount of shiiiiite he currently gets...

Hey try this.... support your team, coach included, as we are currently 4th in Super League and in front of 3 of last seasons top 4, the only one that is above us out of those 4 we have beaten at home and away!!
He's obviously not doing EVERYTHING wrong is he??
