It's short sighted. A successful side would see us averaging 15,000+ putting significant amounts of extra revenue into the pot whilst pretty much every other cost would remain the same. No brainer for me

Thats because the club wont pay the money for a good top class coach. just like they wont pay the money for a top class scrum half (or any player for that matter).

The worst scenario for me would be sacking Agar and giving Sharp the head coach job on a 2 year deal.

PS should have seen the season out and then a new coach and backroom staff appointed straight away.

As I said when Sharp was sacked, I'd much rather have gotten rid of Agar and brought in a decent attacking coach. Sharp was great for the defence and discipline. It was always in attack that we struggled and that was and is Agar's main focus.

Very. It's been five years now and still hasn't been addressed.

It's been 10 since Casper retired and we still haven't brought a scrum half in, we don't rush these things if there's a cheap quick fix to try first.

I could accept that when we had Smith, Horne and Cooke. Even when it was just Horne and Cooke it wasn't too bad, with them both providing everything we needed really, even if we were a little limited and predictable. We should have been looking to bring someone in to fill Smith's void at that time though (and Brough was never going to be that player), but since Cooke's departure it has just been a series of quick fixes, of which Head was the only one to properly fix things for a sustained period of time.

If we hadn't bought a player made of biscuits we might have been a bit more successful (and wouldn't have had to buy Thorman_

Head and Dyes fully fit would have solved our problems at SH, the fact is they were both too injury prone, talentwise they were the real deal.

That was definitely the time to get a top half in, especially with Sherwin available. Unfortunately, with him/Canterbury messing us about, we make a hasty decision that turned out to be the wrong one.

We should try nd sign Head again, he is fully fit and going well albeit in a limited role at St George.

He is imo a cheaper and better option than Orford who struggles and disapears from games if his pack aren't dominant. Lets face it, that would be a weekly occurence at Hull.

The board wanted to emulate the idea of a coaching dynasty , replacing caoches as they decided to move on with the assistant. Fine but all of these dynasties have been based on success rather than failures!
Agar , Last , Crookes and Sharp have all failed or are associated with failure.They're too close to the players , been there too long. Nothing will really change until you clear them out and the new coaching team clear the decks of the players that are clearly going nowhere.

Totally agree. Im reading a really good book at the minute about a Brazilian company that needed to make a huge cultural shift as they had got into so many embedded bad habits. The first thing their new owner did was remove all of the top management and start from scratch to shape his own positive culture.

Time for a wholesale change at FC for me.
