Thought tonight showed enough to leave them in for the next game regardless of Horne being back. Radford himself said that they're improving together and he was spot on, so IMO he needs to leave them together so that they can continue to do so. They are our best shot of consistency in the halves by a long way.

Yeah, I heard that. I'd be slightly uncomfortable if it's for the Rovers game & then swapped back for London. Seems like unnecessary disruption.

I think that too but he might want Horne involved being a Hull lad and it being the derby. He'll bring experience and passion to the team.

Horne should treated the same as Miller was and have to bide his time till the chance comes along to get back into the team.

Well unless there are injuries we don't know about, we should be starting with the same 17 as last night. What sort of message does it give the players if someone is dropped after an effort like that.

Didn't say anything on Humberside so hopefully they'll be fine. If Shaul is injured then we could stick Horne in at full back and leave the Miller/Rankin combo intact. If it's not working for whatever reason we could then move Horne up into the halves and Rankin back to full back.

Thought Rankin was weak at fullback. Leave the halves and slot Horne in where necessary. And only IF necessary, injuries dictating.

Both of them seemed to be okay after hobbling about a bit. Was a horrible tackle on shaul, would still go careful with him as the back can be very delicate when you're carrying a knock.

I thought it was interesting comparing his enthusiastic praise for Shaul, which was deserved, and his grudging praise for Miller/Rankin, "they are getting better".

If thats the case why praise any players or be so effusive about Shaul ? Rankin was decent but I thought Miller was very good again and was solid in defence.

The "they are getting better" praise is a true assessment I think. They are getting better with each game they play. That said, Radders made this comment last week about Horne:

Rankin looks dangerous every time he has the ball, and the combination is working.

Leave it as it is. If we need Horne's experience, he can be fitted in somewhere. If we need someone in because it means something to beat Rovers, get number 36 Dave Butler in the 19.

I've just offering an opinion on what Radders might be thinking. I've said I'd prefer Rankin and Miller in the halves myself.

With regards to ability, I've also pointed out that Radders has been quoted as saying he considers Horne to be our best half back. He could be right there. Rankin and Miller are still young, it's more about potential with them at the moment. Can they be better than Horne? Yes. Are they better than Horne? That's open for debate.

That's exactly what I thought. If he really wants Horney in the team push Whiting to the wing and bring him in at centre but I suspect Rankin gets dropped.
