Well done Hull we chucked nothing away we beat a 'top' team despite a poor goal kicking performance. Thaler needs to check what a knock on is and once we got a fair share we were all over them. Big rap to Westy who had a blinder but we need a reliable goal kicker. #coyh

We were lucky in the end as our defending was awful at times.
Lineham's is awful, Crooks had the centre tied up and Lineham leaves his opposing winger a walk in..seriously.

Just happy to get a result in the end, really happy with our attack, but plenty to work on the defence. Micky Paea is a beast.

We weren't lucky. We scored a hatful of tries and looked really good for a big chunk of the game. We definitely need a goalkicker, and our right edge defence needs some hard work, but we didn't win through luck.

It doesn't say anything at all. Except maybe that it was windy.

I'd say Catalan were lucky. They should have been 1 man down and if we still had a kicker of a high standard they wouldn't even have had a chance to tie the game at the end.

There were 3 players (including lineham) in that area. If he had been wider, 15 yards to defend on his own or not he should have been wider. He's a big fast lad so chances are he might have stopped him in a better position. Great pass I agree but disagree he was positioned right. Happened to many times tonight.

Thought our attack looked slicker than it has for years. Which is what most have wanted TBH. Hopefully we can address the defensive weaknesses without losing any of that new-found potency.

A win is a win and we showed some good stuff in attack. The concern is the woeful defending, some very basic errors from the players. Hopefully the defence will pick up as the season progresses and the attack will continue to create chances.
Azza made a big difference when he was on the field and it is no surprise that we scored most of our points when he was on the field.

A good win against a decent side.
Goal kicking was horrendous and we should have being out of sight.
Poor defense out-wide so lot's of work to be done this week.
Whatever Radford said at half time worked.

I'm suggesting he should have been moving in the right direction and remotely close to the play, in which case he would then have had a chance of preventing the try. What you're saying is right IF he had been sliding with his centre, but the bottom line is that he wasn't, and that made the gap so big.

the defence was poor - mainly on the right hand side but i was more concerned about the way we gave them field position. we almost seemed to run through the book on the different ways to give them the ball in good position. we play smarter then we don't have to defend as many tackles in our own 20

Heremaia (with support from Rankin) turned the game IMO, & essentially won it in that middle spell.
