I'm not saying it wasn't bad management, I'm saying there's a major double standard in talking like everyone associated with the club deserves what is happening and simultaneously painting them as villains for exploiting the situation with us rather than acknowledge that it was largely of our own making too, particularly whilst seeming to take excessive pleasure in urging us to do the same to them.

AFAIK the players only remain contracted as long as the administrator can fulfil their contract terms - such as payment of wages for example. In this case it's been made quite clear that unless the Bulls find £500k in the next two weeks there will be no cash to pay anyone - and at that point the players will become free agents.

This has actually been discussed on the Bulls board. It looks as if it was an attempt to artificially inflate the value of the clubs assets in order to try and leverage better terms if/when they enter into negotiations with creditors. I don't think this will work BTW but there was at least theoretically some method to the madness.

They could not meet the £1m with the players, however if they had offloaded a few decent ones it would have got a few quid in transfers and cut the bill, then like I said they could have been honest with the fans and planned a recovery period, fundraising etc, yes they may have being woodenspoons for a couple of seasons but they may have secured their club..They had to sell the stadium as they could not pay the bill owed to the RLF so credit was never going to look good for them, the fact they have waited until 2 weeks before demonstrates either greediness or just a bunch of incompetent idiots.

And as Neville Bartos said about Whitehead. It increases any fee they can get (from nothing, BTW), and with the sums in question it's really not a simple case of releasing players. They need to raise more than half of the salary cap.

How do you sell a player who's out of contract at the end of the year, to teams who mostly have this year's salary cap tied up? And even if you can manage that, how much do you reckon you'll get for them? I'll give you a clue, it's not even close to half a million.

I notice you fail to reply to Wilf who mentioned what Bradford did to Hull. interesting. For the record I am well over what Bradford did, they were not the only one's, however I am unsure what bit you cannot grasp I would be the same if it was any other club in this mess due to mismanagement, ...as I am sure you was with the dobbins..There are some clubs in the N1 with a fantastic history in the game, give them a shot.
I would not call this enjoyment, I would call it life, sh1i happens, move on get on with it! My only interest is what players we may be able to get on the cheap to strengthen my club.

How on earth does it do that? Until he signed that contract any club looking at him were guaranteed that he was a free agent in November, even with this news it's still only a possibility that he will be. All this news really does is alert clubs to the possibility of buying him out, putting him potentially back on the market but at a fee instead of for nothing. If Bradford have to let him go, somebody will pay for him rather than wait it out, that wasn't the case before.
