Before the internet existed, none of us would have put the amount of time and effort into discussing the minutiae of Hull FC that we now do, simply because the platform to do so didn't exist. The downside is that whilst it's a good thing to share opinions, miserable and hysterical tery is our stock in trade at the moment, and I include myself in that. Equally, look back at 2005. I remember coming back from Cardiff and there being more than 3 pages of unread threads of jubilant celebration, celebrating everything from Danny Brough's boots to Carvell's forward roll after Blacklock's backflip, to Leeds fans mooning out of a minibus on the M1 on the way home. Emotive and unbalanced quite clearly, but it works both ways. Good work on trying to stabilise the unhinged amongst us, like me.

I have already explained myself twice, the forum has been overtaken/infested/drowning in negative posts and at times hysterical points of view. You can't even talk about the upcomig game with it all being about Agar and all the usual dtuff that is in every thread. I could easily merge ten threads into one if I really wanted.

I remember at the time there some silly threads about winning the GF etc and posted something about the fact that the 5 wins flattered us and there were flaws in our game. I would not get carried away with 5 wins or 5 losses unless the manner of either was worrying.
This season for example we defended awful against Rovers and threw the game away but against Leeds I thought we were beaten by a team who hit their straps and had we taken our chances it could have been different. Then on Sunday we were in the armwrestle and came out narrow losers. I see areas for concern and I don't think Agar is the man to take us on to glory but I still think we will challenge for the top 6. |

As predicted, the flock has divided as a result of over-zealous herding and we're now grazing in a few different pastures.
Doesn't mean we are split over the fundamental problem, just over the best way to manage the situation, and a difference of opinions as to what will make a difference.
What did you expect? We're intelligent human beings with independent thoughts, while sharing an all-consuming passion. |

The thing is I meant zero offence to anyone when I posted I was just using the best word I could think of to describe the fact that every thread was the same and it has become impossible to have a decent chat about rugby.
