You should never be forced to give to a charity, its about personal choice.

You could say Hull are threatening fans, donate to charity or you are not coming to watch your team.

Either way fans are being forced to donate which is wrong, I have my ticket anyway.

What about if we charge extra and keep all the money to ourselves and dont donate anything to charity ?? Or is that only when we go to caravan park ?

not comparable in the slightest, one is a charge for a service, the other is an enforced donation.

Someone must have complained saying that they had no choice in having a free hat with their seasons pass. Paul M might have wanted some nice Hull FC cufflinks with his pass, but he wasn't given the choice, almost being threatened to have a free hat.

Correct I refused to get a pass last year because I had to have a free hat.

This is my first season pass at the KC. With the stadium being allseater I have always been unsure about it as the thought of getting sat next too a right loud mouth annoying ar$ehole all season put me off and guess what thats exactly whats happened.
Still I blame myself as I knew what she was like when I married her.

Its a derby game and therefore demand will be high so the club has sensibly decided to up the price by £1. Meanwhile back on the ranch in a completely unrelated move the club have decided to donate some money to their chosen charity for the year at Easter time (which they donate to in lots of other ways during the year as well). After much arguing about how much to give they decided that the best way to decided was that for every person who comes to the derby game, that isnt a season ticket holder, they will donate £1.

Can somebody tell me if the derby is all ticket??? If so, how are the sales doing, coz I haven't got mine yet!!??


For what it's worth, I will add my tupence to the debate. I agree with most on here. Enforced charity is wrong. The club know people will pay regardless because it is the derby. The value of the charitable contribution is irrelevant it is the principle.

If I choose to give to charity, I will choose the monetary value, how often I donate and to which charity I donate myself. I do not need the club to tell me I will be donating to their charity. It's bordering on blackmail.

However, I will of course be purchasing a ticket

It's really simple, if you want to go to the game you will purchase a ticket & the £1 will go to the charity, if you don't want to go to the game or disagree strongly enough about the £1 don't purchase a ticket & you won't be going.
