If they were improved offers then why doesn't AP take the matter higher?

Reading his response, i still dont think he is understanding the rule. You can make a player 1000 offers but if none match or exceed his current deal then he can walk away for nothing.
The only criticism that can be levelled at the RFL in this instance is that they just didnt inform Pearson of this rule back in september so that he didnt have to end up making a wally of himself and waste everybodys time at the tribunal.

Regardless of Pearsons feelings on the RFL and on how they have ben run, it has sod all to do with the independant panel which judged this case or their judgement of it,

He took the case up expecting to lose it, he knew why he was expected to lose it, he knew the fairly clear, concise and unambigious, longstanding rule which meant he was likely to lose the seems to have hit out at all and sundry at the RFL for things going how he thought they would. Its pretty pathetic

The rules in football as well as league, I'd be amazed if he didn't know it although it does read like that.

Now that's a big statement to be making. Hope he's confident of taking such a stance, as it will make a few enemies.

pearson is spot on regarding the rfl, no money sponsorship when clubs need money is a poor decision from the governing body!

I like his statement, the old board fooked over the club on this one, even if they did it in a legal way.

There is a good chance that Briscoe would have made his first team debut at Hull so far this year, not sure if he even starts at Leeds under 20's.

Ap knows that leeds, gary,kath,agar,rule have stitched us up on this one, the very fact agar named him 18th man in the play off game was his parting shot

Leeds and gary in paticular have had too much influence on the rfl for many years now

Ok maybe I gave him too much credit. I would be very surprised if he took up the case and pushed it towards tribunal without first reading the rules where this clear, unambiguous, and longstanding rule is.

I would think it would reflect worse on him that he didn’t know the rules and that he didn’t know he hadn’t followed them.

I think in the choice between bitter and incompetent Hull fans would be hoping he was bitter.
