With the ridicules ko time I suspect the crowd will be around 11250. What few away fans that might have ventured north won't bother especially as its a school night. I also see Hull fans without a pass staying at home and saving the pennies and watching on Sky. That's certainly the case in this household.

If we want a good average attendence it is vital we are in good form April-June, as we play Leeds, Wigan and Saints at home, which are usually 3 of our biggest crowds of the year.

Just one excuse after another with some people. The game will finish at about 7.20. I will travel the best part of 60 miles to get home and I reckon I will be back for 8.30. I am certain anyone actually living in the hull area could be home and their kids in bed for 8pm if they really wanted.

Are you suggesting that the 20k crowd that attended the derby in 2010, on a Thursday night, were worried about school?

We are going to have just about our strongest team available against a team who are not that strong and therefore there should be a few tries on view.

If there is less than 12k there then it's a disappointing turn out.

If it's on form then you would think that matching last season shield winners, who have subsequently won their other two games, would indicated our form is on the positive side.

Just getting off the car park can take 10-15 minutes, then I would have to travel back to South Yorkshire. We wouldn't get my son in bed till at least 9, which is too late for a not-quite-five-year-old who has to be at school the next day.

Quite agree. Speaking about locally based fans, the time of kick off whilst not ideal should not be reason enough to miss the game.

I didn't start watching Hull FC until I was about 8 but remember plenty of Wednesday night games on school nights, so Sunday evening with no school shouldn't be a problem for kids tomorrow.

Same here a 5 year old next month would have been attending if 3pm KO, but traveling back to West Yorks would mean getting back around 9 - 9.15 which is too late. As an SPH I'll still be coming though.

I'm sure the True Fans will all be there.

What's the point taking a 4 year old anyway. Surely they're not interested in sitting still for 2 hours?

I'm not being prickly, I just find it amusing that whenever a poster says they won't be attending a game, there's always someone ready to point out how they attended two days after they'd been shot in the face, or whatever.

I would never say that anyone [ishould[/i attend a game. There are all sorts of reasons that it might not be possible or convenient for someone to go.

Our son quite enjoys it. He can get a bit restless at times, but it's worth getting him indoctrinated nice and early, I reckon.
