Green will be a stand out for York and its clear he wouldnt get anything out of playing for the 20's anymore.

Think people get excited about Pearce due to his size but need to realise he has only been playing the game for 3 years and this dual reg deal is the next logical step in his development.

Maybe Doncaster didn't need first choice second rowers

Maybe York didn't need a first choice centre

Maybe Cunningham didn't want to go to York

Maybe Pearce & Green didn't want to go to Doncaster

Had Chris been offered to the Dons, im sure he would have returned ,as he was well liked at Donny and proved to be a large assett to the club in his time there. The only down side was having him called back too often for the under 20 games at Hull which left us not knowing from one week to the next if he would be with us.

The current limit on the number of players a receiving club can utilise will also apply to ‘dual registered’ players. Therefore a receiving club will be limited to a total of four loaned and/or dual registered players, and no more than three loaned and/or dual registered players from the same club. So maybe they didn't want to be tied down to three from our club, they may need somebody else in a different position down the line if injuries occur.

Dual-registered players should not be recalled unless it's for 1st team duty.

Can understand Pearce but Green is a strange move imo. Leaves us with 3 full fit props.

Doubt that otherwise Bowden will have got some game time against Rovers or Bradford.

Think it is more of a case of saying that Green will get more by playing NL rather than 20s again.

Bowden will probably be playing 20's again this season with more responsibilty as he wont have Aldous or Green with him in the pack.

All three are to old for the u20's now and if the squads fully fit players like Burnett, Kent, Nicklas, Ellis and Turner will be taking up the 3 overage places.

York already have 2 players on dual reg from Warrington.

Can only be a good thing IMO. Arguably better standard than U20's, don't know why we haven't used this more before, but glad we are doing now.

really good move imo id like to see lynne sent out aswell hes to good for u20s but to raw for superleague. think we are going to be abit short on props tbh if we pick up an injury or 2 touch wood we wont lol

They will train with us during the week (or, atleast, several days of it) and we can recall them into our squad if we need them to play for us, so if we had a couple of injuries at Prop then we could get Green into the 17.

I think that it would be really good for Lyne's development if he could get into a Championship, or even League 1, side and gain some more experience.

Nope, I think that we've had Burnett out on it (Sheffield?), Aldous, Green (Doncaster), and possibly a couple of others in the past.

We seem to only just be starting to use it properly, for the intended reasons it was brought in. Instead of using it as a way to develop youngsters with a view to them playing SL, under the old regime it seemed more a way of giving lower league clubs a free trial of young players before we inevitably got rid, as we had very little intention of giving them a first team chance.

Agreed Carl, we should link up with a club and have 4 players there every year.
It's not like we can't recall them.
