Good luck to him, but he has done little to prove he is an SL standard player. He has a decent kicking game, but his speed, passing and general play with ball in hand offers little.

Agree, but don't think we have given him enough time to develop. But as he tweeted he wants game time which I guess he must have been assured of at Cas, plus going back to his old mentor in Millward, probably a good move for him. Good luck Jamie

He is not the type of player that PG wants, thats why he has gone at the end of the season.

Agree, i really had high hopes for the kid.

I still hope he comes on at Cas, England could do with a few halves playing in SL.

That's a bit harsh. He hasn't been brilliant but he also hasn't been terrible.


Bigger disappointments for me are things like losing to Wakefield after being 30-10 up, or losing McKinnon very suddenly, or having one of your new signings injured for more than half of the season (not his fault, I know, but disappointing nonetheless).

I meant in expectations of signings.

People go on about his kicking game, but has only shown this in one game, the rest of the time it has been as poor as the rest.

Good luck to the kid, he still has a lot of development if he wants to kick on at SL level, hope he does well.

Apart from a 40/20 he kicked against Bradford I can't think of anything he has ever done on the pitch that has stood out.

Agree with this. As usual some people on here got carried away with one performance at the time, be interesting to see how he does at Cas but can't see us ever regretting this decision imo.

Good move for you and if Ellis is being signed at Cas to replace one of Orr or chase then they are heading in the completely wrong direction. Not super league quality in my humble opinion.

IF Ellis can get a bit of form under IM, like he did at Leigh, he could be a very good signing.

All he has to do is get good early ball to Chase and and their laughing.

They, Cas, produce some very good youngsters, hopefully they'll start to hold on to some.

Don't think we'll particularly notice, TBH. Don't think he'll ever be top 6 material, looks like Saints were right.

Think FC have done well to get rid of Ellis and O'Carroll good work by the coaching staff and AP.

why not O'Meley as well, if he's the bad apple it appears he is?
