Just been trying to find which is the dearest club in superleague,it must be one of the good teams,wigan,warrington,leeds,saints,huddersfield. Can anyone tell me who it is.???

One youth development set up at junior level in the City with Hull and Rovers having a draft pick rather like the NRL?

I know they say in business 'keep your allies close and your enimies closer'. Not sure if this really applies to sport though. Fair enough having club contact for operational obligations but is there a need for the future of the local game to get into bed together. Maybe I'm still a bit cynical of AP been onboard but to me with this story, the iceberg as just headed a bit further up the humber.

Also am I the only one completely uninterested in a pre-season 'friendly' derby. We already have the Magic Weekend, potential CC or Pkayoff ties, and 1 home and away fixture...lets not turn it into the SPL where Rangers and Celtic play each other every other week.

I think the novalty of the fixture as wore off a bit with both sets of fans. Would imagine to the clubs, it's a bit of a cash cow fixture, kerching

It will be the price of the North(Golf) stand as that will be at the south end of the ground as the North stand should be getting built.

That one sticks out as not realistic (or even possible?) to work to the advantage of both clubs.

Perhaps it could be the announcement that a joint Hull team will be playing the NRL Champions in a pre WCC game???

I'm a bit uncomfortable with it all tbh. I agree that over the last few years things have probably got a little childish between the 2 clubs but Hudgell has been at the hub of all these things and now all of a sudden he wants everything to be rosy between the 2 clubs, lets get this right he hates us with a passion.

Bit harsh, Pearson comes across as a nice guy IMO.

No fussed on the preseason friendly as we already play them 3 times a season anyway.

The joint Hull team I am also not a fan of and not sure what purpose it would serve to either team or England.

Better cooperation is all well and good and I have no real issues with that. I just don't see how it will manifest itself in terms of youth development or sponsorship.

Having read the article... I must admit last evening I was a bit dubious and uncomfortable with the thoughts of these two meeting up... but one line says it all for me:

"Insisting their on-field rivalry will remain as fierce as ever, they say the "undermining" of one another, which has been evident in recent seasons, must stop"

Glad to have Derby Day back as a pre-season...
...not sure with the England match... but it'd be good to watch.

On a positive note nice to see Pearson made him come across the River for the meet up

Don't like the sounds of this what happens when a promising young player comes along that both teams want ??

In truth this sounds like the first steps too a merger.
