Thought he played well today, had a decent game. Was part of most, if not all, of our tries and looked to take the line on confidently. Missed a couple of tackles, but for the first game that can be expected, both sets of players were missing tackles.

To be fair Rovers stood off Long when he had ball in hand near the red and whites line so he was doing enough to worry Rovers. Just think some of the players around him aren't of the right calibre to keep up with him.

You're right. There were a couple of occasions he was stranded for runners but the shape of some of the attack showed promise in my view. However as pmarrow has pointed out elsewhere it needs to be consistent and not just on occasional sets.

We all know what he can do, whatever team he plays for, but at Saints he had the class around him. He doesn't have that with your lot.

He can't seem to dominate an entire match and switches off at certain times. We desperately need someone alongside him to take the pressure off and I'm afraid Tuner aint it.

Dare I suggest that Tansey has the kind of spark that Hull lacked today. Did the right thing getting shut of him but that's what Hull need.

My thoughts too, he did fine and looked to attack where he could. Our defence and discipline was the issue.

I used to blame Long, he's come here for his pension, but he is surrounded by players who seem unable to spot a decent line and a coach who seems unable to formulate a decent strategy to get the best out of Long's waning prowess.

He missed some one to run onto his scoots, hopefully Horney can provide this like we all know he can.

soon as radford and o'meley went off we struggled for me radford was causing them alot of problems take is injured as he never came back on.

the Horne of 3 years ago maybe, but I have serious doubts that he can cut it at this level anymore. In the few games he played last season he looked off the pace.

He wont dominate when we don't have the ball or on exit sets. Attack wasn't the problem today - it showed some good signs. Second row channel defence inside our own 20 was a joke.

I thought Long did nothing till the 60 min mark and then had a couple of good breaks/passes etc.
