Apparently in tomorrows HDM about Berrigan. He has been having injections and playing through the pain barrier. He has an injury that needs an operation.

Does this suggest that Agar has not given up on this season?

Should he be drinking while on medication?

think this puts to bed the story's regrds his integrity.....

Probably picked it up in one of his training ground bust ups with Agar/Thorman/Thorman's Mam/Kath/Rule and the old boy who walks his spaniel past there some days.

depends what medication but what he does in his own time is his buisness guess hes only taking the medication on a match day to get him through the games

A timely reminder of how easy it is for us sat in the stands to criticise players who are literally playing through the pain barrier with injections just to take the field. I bet Berro's not the only one - remember one year we had virtually the whole squad playing with injections by the end of the season. Some of them are probably risking long term health problems by doing so

very true...im sure people sometimes cant get out of bed on a saturday morning..i mean the players not the fans who have afew too many jars in the boozer afterwoods

but there are afew well known nrl players having afew beers after bronco's home games in the aformentioned hotel.....
in my opinion, any player can have afew swift halfs after game day.....but just dont get caught doing stupid things around the suburb villages of hull

Berrigan is (currently) our #1 asset and hasn't really been fit since he got here. We need the fittest squad possible ready for Long and Fitz's arrival, I'd be tempted to get him the operation now. Unlikely we're going to mount much of a challenge for the play-offs this year as the injury situation just seems to get worse rather than better with the Calderwood news..

Think `Rubbish` is a tad harsh Paul, he has been dissapointing though, a mixture of being injured and poor players around him

Agreed. Season is effectively over. Even if we win a few games and get into the 8, the other sides are so much better than us and we'll get thumped.

May as well blood a few youngsters too (e.g to replace Calders if injured for Saturday)

Very harsh in my opinion hasnt being at his best but he needs good players round him. First few games he played well when the forwards were giving him a platform and horney was at his best .Also I feel the team could help him by getting the play the ball faster .
