I hope we save any more signings to players that would improve us.

We have Josh Bowden, Ryan Wilson and Bobby Tyson Wilson, waitign for their chance, i'd rather give these some game time than sign another average player.

Wouldn't of thought they'd sign anyone if they didn't think they could do a job and add something to the squad.

I'm sure previous coachs have thought this and have still signed poor players.

Sam moa was 23/24 when he came across. Tevita Vaikona was 25 before his first SL game, Matt King hung his boots up at 22 before someone gave him a chance. I'm up for giving the lad chance if it's on our terms.

So 4 years younger than him then.

Vaikona played in the top divsion for Hull before we got relegated when Sl started.

yeah you're right he did. Even so 26 is still a young age for a forward. If he's crap you sack him off Like I said I don't have a problem with giving people a chance as long as it's on our terms.

Sign him up and give him a chance. If he's upto it he'll show it in training and on the pitch, if not he'll be on his way.

I'm not getting your point with that comparison. Dave K is pointing out that by 26 he'd have expected Vunakece to have played in either SL or NRL if he was a top player. By that age, Civoniceva was an NRL regular, part of squads that had won it twice, and had also already played SOO (all 3 games in a series win) and international rugby for Australia.

If you're just stating the bleeding obvious that someone like Civoniceva is unobtainable, then again I don't see the relevance as he isn't saying that they would be.

He played at Loose Forward against the Aussies and was top tackler with 33

so sign him on a one year deal with incentives to make him earn a future

A defensive backrow forward isn't exactly what we need either.

It was pretty forgetable Tbf. When Dave k wrote it I was sure he didn't until I remembered I had a tape of a sky game at featherstone that we won and he scored a couple.94/95.

No worries to be honest i forgot at first and had to have real think, was signed by Tony Gordon, along with Maea David and Shane Endacott (who was awful at Hull, but did well in the NRL).

Think the reason people forgot is that Vaikona didn't make a real impact in that season.
