| I carnt believe what i have just seen, im just watching the replay of sts v cas and just seen wellens do exactly the same to mcgoldrick as radders did to bailey and didnt even get put on report yet radders gets sent off, what a disgrace the lack of refing consistancy we have in our game for me what wellens did was far worst then what radders did because he actually used his elbow to strike mcgoldrick.
Sort it out rfl your a joke.

| Ian Smith is the worst ref in SL by a mile. I'd even go as far as to say he is bent. 2 examples for you.
1. 2 weeks ago against Wire, Westwood makes a clear double movement to score a try and the Hull players ask for the decision to be refered to the video ref, Smith completely ignores the request. This week Briscoe scores a perfectly good try and the Leeds players ask for a video ref decision and he instantly goes straight to the screen. What the frick he was looking for?
2. 2 weeks ago against Wire, Tickle tackles a Wire player and holds him down close to the line. The result is Smith sends him to the sinbin. This week Briscoe picks up a loose ball goes close to the line and is tackled and held down for far longer and yet not only does Smith not sinbin a player he doesn't even give a penalty.
Smith is an absolute disgrace.

I assume nobody on here will agree with me but both Hulls trys came from looked to me 'forward passes'.

| Thought the sending off was a bit harsh, 10 mins each would have done but the fact he cut Bailey open may have had a bearing on it.
Flip side is ive never seen a ref let so much knocked on ball go as he did for hull tonight. 6 occasions he deemed the ball went backwards when in any other week knock ons would have been given.

| I agree he is the worst and that's really saying something at the moment. He seems to have no control over games and every game he refs he ruins as a spectacle.
My friend was saying to me yesterday at the game that she believed he was "bent" I'm not so sure, I just believe he's completely out of his depth and always as been. We go back to the same problem though there's no repercussions for them because we only have 7 full time referees and one of them is currently suspended, so every week no matter how they perform they know they will get picked the following week. Somebody's gonna end up with him next week ,no doubt it will be us.

| Not only was his refereeing terrible, the RFL fine anyone who says anything against the referees. Your always caught between a rock and a hard place. It makes a mockery of the English game in my opinion.

| Could not say he was ---- but understand he bowls for Parkistan to .
We got away with a couple of knock ons true but Leeds never square marked all game one to the right other to the left yet not once penalised for it only when 3 man marking, penalised Hull for ofside when second man square marker tackled Leeds player.
Gave Leeds a penalty for forward pass when ball goes 3 yards backwards from Berro.
Deffernatly a Parkistany bowler

When Crusaders were appointed Smith for our game against KR, our hopes off being in the play offs plummeted. Then we saw he was ref at the KC and had be replaced by Hicks at Wrexham
Radfords red card was a joke, ten minutes in the bin maybe. Hopefully sending off sufficent on Tuesday.

| I thought Washy try came from a forward pass. I can't see how we can have any complaints over the sending off; you can't try to repeatedly smack somebody in the face and expect to stay on the field, well you shouldn't, bnut sometimes refs lack the backbone to send players off and put incidents on report. It was the correct decision for Radders to go.

| Is it just me or have referee's got worse since they were made full time?
Smith was a joke yesterday. Leeds' second try was from a forward yet he penalises us for a forward when it was a mile back. Radford should not have gotten red carded - it was a provoked attack. I'd want to hit someone like he did had they elbowed me in the head like that!
Referee's are usless in games now. A few years ago I only remember the odd one being like that now it's all of them.
Well done to Hull FC though - 70 minutes with a man down they played well.

| No great compliaint on the sending off for me, you can't smack someone like that and expect to stay on the pitch. More than a touch niggled that the incident that started it got nothing though.

Correct, if it was both stood up face to face it would have been a yellow but because he was prone on the deck about to get up to play the ball he was rightly red carded

Well to me, Bailey did nothing wrong in this incident. He was clearly trying to get to his feet while Radford was all over him. Yes he may have caught him with an elbow or two but to hit the man when he was trying to play the ball and not even been able to see a punch thrown was a sending off offence for me.
Oh and I agree regarding the refs, I have said many times now, they should go back to been part time.

Was they actually bad enough to provoke an attack on a player who couldnt defend himself?
And if you think his elbows where malitious, surely he will be pulled up by the RFL.

Don't hold your breath. Bailey = no case to answer. You only have to look back over his yearly disiplinary record to see what will happen.

| Radford's shouldn't have punched Bailey while he was on the ground but Bailey shouldn't have elbowed him in the back of the head (which is more dangerous than a thump to the forehead). A yellow card should have been sufficient as it was the start of the match and the players would have calmed down. It seems that the RFL take the same view as Sky: it's alright because its Leeds.
I would agree that Radford should probably be banned for his punching though. I don't think anyone can deny that he was a bit stupid for doing that so early in the match.

And look at the teams involved...... do ref's seem more willing to dish out the cards when players involved are not from a 'top team' ??
