With Watts gone and now Fash out for surely six weeks with a broken jaw, Sika suffering another setback and Mini seeming to of gone on one season too far do we need to try and bring someone in?

I know its easier said than done but if were now classed as a top club and have made contacts in the Oz trip then surely we may have some irons in the fire and must of been looking for next season anyway so maybe try and bring them in early? Definitely but I can't see it personally. I think watts money has been used to sign the kid from london. We don't have the forwards to dominate the better teams so will go through the season losing to them and winning most of our games against the weaker sides unless we have too many injuries. I can see us losing to widnes unless we get a couple back

I said they were terrible away from their plaggy pitch. Haven't won a game away from home all season. At home they're pretty competitive. Our problem is we could be 4 or 5 forwards down plus the loss of watts when we play them thursday

We do, but most aren't ready to play every week and it's ok playing against easy beats like you but harder against the better sides like saints.

We certainly need a forward, but with no non fed places left it's very unlikely who will sell/release a player this time of the season.

This situation will certainly help up long term, I'd rather stick with he young kids unless some quality becomes available rather than sign championship players like Tickle

Didn't Radford allude to needing to freshen things up in his post match interview?. Wonder if they'll look at the transfer market now?
Someone mentioned on here that this year looks transitional, and that does seem the case.
We've lost some major talent and we can't just plug the gaps with young kids.
Some big decisions to come for next year as well. Could be a year too far next year for Washy & Mini. With doubts over Tuli, Kelly and Manu we could see some turnover next year. Not easy in a barren market.

We do need another forward, definitely. Taylor, Houghton, Mini and Manu are all quality but none are game breakers in the way Watts was and whilst the likes of Lane, Fash and Masi are pushing through they’re a few years off their peak.

He surely must be injured for Radford to go into that game with such a lightweight bench and second row

I think the plan was to bring Connor on and give Griffin a stint in the 2nd row but talanoas injury put paid to that. Problem with Abdul on the bench is he doesn't do the shift of a middle player

The original plan was that Bowden and Griffin were not due to play, so we must have been really struggling to find 17 fit players.

Definitely need more size in the pack, I also think Bowden has been ineffective and needs to sharpen up or be moved on, he's 26 now and in his 7th season in the first team and should be in his prime, yet still not showing much aggression.

As for short-term moves, is it worth offering some cash for Sam Moa? I believe he's off contact at Catalans at the end of year, and McNamara may want to free up some salary cap to solve other issues (such as Luke Walsh being unlikely to return in the halves) not stood out at Catalan but he was brilliant for us first time round.

whichever way you look at it the decision has weakened us and Radford/Ellis haven't bolstered the side since Watts was sacked off. Did you think that losing an international class player would have no negative effect, did you expect the club to replace like for like or just leave us a top forward short for the rest of the season?

We are missing the go forward of Ellis, Watts and Fonua.
