| Looking like what we need is a home tie in the semis against St Helens.
We should be working towards that outcome

| If we beat Wigan and Warrington at home and at least one of Saints/Wakefield we'll win the League Leaders Shield. Even just beating Wigan and Warrington may be enough if Wigan beat Warrington but don't significantly improve their PD.

| Despite all the bitching, name calling and arguing that goes on here at times its worth I think just reflecting that we are so, so lucky to be actually talking about all this. When you look back at who we've beaten and how many times we have beaten some of them its simply amazing really. Sometimes I don't think I really appreciate it all. With a maximum of just 7 games left to play we are still in there with , the Plate, the Grand Final and Wembley all still on the agenda, what an amazing amazing season we are all experiencing and what a special team this is!

| Spot on Wilf. But a little icing on the cake would be great. Turning a brilliant season into a magnificent historic one.

That would mathematically give us top spot. Can't see us getting any points in the league till the wakey game mind.

Yep. If we want to finish above Wigan and Warrington then we have to beat them both. Those well-earned home games are looking good now.

| Hopefully Catalans can sort themselves out and beat Warrington.
That's a tough trip for Wire a week after Wembley.

| I like us to go in with the attitude of winning all 7 games which are possible, no need to target any specific games.
Realistically a home semi final is what we are now aiming for. Not really that bothered who its against as the other three in the 4 will be their on merit by that stage.
Looking at the run in, we need a minimum of beating wire and Wigan to be in the top two.
Will be interesting to see what happens the week after Wembley at Sts. Without walsh they seem lost. Of course they will have had a week off to recharge and post Wembley games are a notorious cone down.

| Can't see us beating saints a week after wembley. We struggled to beat wigan's u19's in 2013.
I'd sack that game off and play the U23's then target the wigan and wire home games and maybe look at giving one or two a rest against wakey subject to how they're going at that point. Win those 3 and the saints result is irrelevant anyway. I still have a feeling the GF may be a step too far for us this year and will probably be a wire v wigan final if they don;t play each other in the semi

Agree with the targeting of games but not about the GF. Can't see any reason why it should be a step too far at all - we're currently top on merit and regardless of the result at Wembley we've beaten all the teams in the mix (some multiple times). We have really good depth and that will continue to serve us well in these last few weeks. Hull are the team to beat in the league in my opinion.

Another one of your imaginary free hits. You completely contradict your own point...again. Why would Hull consider "sacking a game off". The more points we accumulate the higher we finish, thus a Wire v Wigan semi becomes more likely.

| I don't think the final will take it out of us as much as the semi final did. But I would look to rest 2 or 3 preferably the forwards, as we have good cover there.
Taylor, Houghton and Minichiello possibly? It's a lot of quality to rest at once but bring in the likes of Thompson, Hadley and Turgut would be an option.
We could still turn Saints over for a fourth time with them replacements then a fresher squad for the Wigan clash.
Personally I think Warrington will end up with the league leaders shield, with us finishing second. But for me 2016 will always be the season Hull FC won the league.
