Sick and tired for this 'next year is the one' stuff from the club every season, the fans have yet again paid hundreds and in some cases thousands following the club this year. I look forward to the '2017's the one' this time next year!

I agree with everything said in the article. Where does he blame Gentle? He just says his squad will be better next season than the one he got from Gentle, I have to agree.

As far as bull bingo goes, banging on about Gentle getting us to Wembley and 6th twice is right up there. You'd think it was some golden period the way some people go on about it. We were embarrassed at Wembley in 2013. It was a shameful performance, I'd rather we'd not got there.

I agree with the OP. AP said this years ago and as the article states "Two years on, 10 of the 17-man team who took the field that day no longer play for FC" so he's already got his own team, not Gentle's.
What will the excuse be next year, "It's almost my squad but we've still 2-3 players left over from the previous regime".
I'm no Radford hater but I'm sick to the stomach of this kind of jam tomorrow BS the club seems to put out all the time.

So Radfords job is under threat if results don't improve? Good. i think he's right that next year's squad is better than last year's. If we don't do better then he has to go.

I wish people would read the article properly, there are no excuses or blaming gentle in that article from Radford or Pearson.

Gentle and their team had many faults, and he wasn't the answer. But this picture that the club keeps trying to build that Radford inherited a disaster of a squad and has had to start from nothing is simply a myth. The team would not have finished 6th if they were that hopeless. The team he got was much better than the one Gentle inherited of Agar for starters. And let's not forget Radford was assistant to Gentle anyway!

I agree with him, recruitment overall was poor under Gentle and McRae, as it stands now Gentle was the better coach, just a shame we can't seem to get the right balance in a coach.

I still hope next season Radford proves me and others wrong.

Excuse-making, arguable. Goal-post shifting, definitely.

Pretty much agree, along with the way an 11th place finish under Radford seems to be used as a yardstick for improvement over Gentle.

To be fait to Rdford he did inherit a joke squad. Any team with Arundel, Miller etc on big wages would struggle and hes had to weed all these out

Again, not many (if any) has said that, a few have said that Radford has improved us this year from last. If we can finish 6th/7th with a tougher set of fixtures then Radford will have at least matched Gentles league performance.

Daryl Powell inherited a far worse squad , than Radford, and lost 2 of his main pivots as well.
