Apparently the RFL are investigating 3/4 clubs over their use of the dual reg system. Players must have played 3 or more games before July 25th to be eligible to play after that. Crooks had only played twice (?) before Sunday, which puts us as one of the clubs.
Possible sanctions are fine and/or points deduction if found guilty.

I think it would most likely be Donny as they are the team that made the infringement? All we do is make the players available. We don't decide who actually plays.

there's no chance we will get a points deduction as nothing that went on affected our performance on the pitch. It is more likely Donny that would get this as they could be seen to benefit, esp as they won their game

The RFL may be incompetent but they aren't [icompletely[/i bonkers. Trying to pin the penalty for playing an ineligible player on the team not responsible for picking that player nor benefiting in any way from him being played qualifies as completely bonkers in my book. And completely unenforceable.

What should be under investigation is the numpty who dreamed up the dual-reg scenario in the first place

I can see the logic in preventing clubs from strengthening their team for the last few games, in the same way as transfer deadlines work,
but I cannot find any reference to "must have played 3 matches before a deadline date " anywhere on the RFL website.

Dual Registered Players who have a Salary Cap Value of £20,000 or more i.e. those who receive a category A, B, C or D classification, must have played in at least three League or League Cup fixtures for the Championships club that season before the end of season registration deadline which applies in that Competition in order to play in games which fall after that deadline whether they be regular season or Play Off games.
