We have got to pick up the 2 points on offer, either its a convincing win or an ugly win..i think they are a bit of a dodgy team for us, but this is the start of 6 games at home with the derby in the middle, what i think we could possibly win all 7, with a fit/healthy squad to choose from, Huddersfield is the hardest game out the lot, London easter monday should be no problem, cheers to the RFL for sorting that fixture

what are your thoughts on the Widnes game? & the run of home fixtures?

We've thumped them in our previous 2 home fixtures and I expect to beat them on Sunday.

They are shaky away from home. If it was on their own pitch I wouldn't be confident, but I think we can bounce back well this week. Hanbury is a guy I personally rate highly and he can break from anywhere and has a good attacking kicking game, need to keep him quiet.
I think their start flattered them slightly due to all their home games.
Saying all that, I would take a win by drop goal! We're short on bodies in the front row and it seems like Radders still doesn't know his strongest team. Would like to see Miller get a shot. He played great last year in this fixture and he'll be chomping at the bit to prove he deserves a place.
I'm gonna go Hull by 8 this week. I'll reserve judgement on the following run of games until Monday. One game at a time!!

we should win this one - they are hard to beat at home on their synthetic pitch but usually don't travel too well. i'm pretty sure we have an excellent home record against them in the superleague era

This is a must win game. They have started well but Leeds showed last Thursday that they are very beatable.

injury news from widnes, joe mellor is out with a shoulder dislocation and ticks has a dead leg - usually touch and go whether you can recover in a week from this - don't reckon he'll make it with it being a friday game

The previous two results at home will have no bearing on this game from what I've seen Widnes look a well coached side and will be a tough nut to crack. If we go into this game with no Feka, Carvell or Paea I think we may struggle.

Mellor being out for them is a big blow, very dangerous player.

If we can get 3 props on the field (Carvell, Watts and Feka) I think we will win, otherwise not very confident at all.

Widnes will be boosted by our injuries but still think we will win this.

Absolutely have to win this one if we have ambitions of been up at the top. The league is wide open this year and despite 2 wins from 5 I still think 4th is up for grabs, but we can't afford any slip ups between now and the London game.

Don't get why we played mind games with carvel. Originally said he could be back week after. Now looking it'll be a month. That's an age with modern recovery techniques and equipment!

Not sure if mind games. Carvs was desperate to play against Wire and Radders gave him a chance to prove his fitness and his ankle had a bad reaction. In retrospect it appears we tried to bring him back too early and are now paying the price

kevin brown needs to be well policed, he's playing well, always liked him and wouldn't have minded seeing hull go for him

Frankly if we can't beat Widnes at home we may as well give up. We should be beating teams like Widnes home and away if we want to make any impact in the competition.

Leeds, Wigan and Saints wouldn't be making excuses like that. All teams get injuries. We should have the strength in depth to cope with them, especially if Widnes are missing two key players in Mellor and Tickle.

Saints will have missing this week, Turner Percival Walsh Walmsley Soliola LMS and Beaumont, so it's a pretty even comparison - all teams get injuries, it's how you deal with them that defines how good you are
