listening to radford on sports talk last night when asked about when biggs might arrive he stated the biggs case was a funny situation as even if he was here now having never played rugby league he would have so much to learn he probaly would'nt feature until half way through season.with this in mind if he does'nt arrive until may which looks more likely given 6 nations situation will he even play next season,i originally thought he was worth a risk but this was before i knew he would'nt be here for beginning of year.although long term might be a good signing is he a wasted signing for 2014.would of been more exited if announced in may and he came in straight away.any games played this season would of then felt like a bonus.after all we signined arundle early 2012 for 2013 season.can't believe we'v commited cap money on a player that may not feature until very late in year

Don't think he's on the cap this year.

He isn't on the cap, and won't start getting paid until his contract with Bath has ended.

There is not that much difference between a union winger and a league winger, and Radford will have been saying a lot of that to either take any pressure off Biggs or to goad Biggs into proving him wrong and showing he can pick it up a lot quicker.

Biggs also has the advantage of having watched a lot of RL so it wont be alien to him.

oh yer,totally forgot about cap money regarding union players.point taken.still feel disappointed may not see him for quite some time though.now crookes is injured and lineham recovering from operation (not sure if he's back in full training yet) and shaul stating he only wants to play full back could we maybe see ben crooks/whiting on wing.i know talanoa due here soon but if lineham not ready we'll still be winger short

good point.i think the kick pressure is the hardest part of game now.kicks to the corner are a major part of a teams attack and to take a ball above a defender like richards/hall/j monaghan can is a massive plus for any team.more importantly a winger who can defend a high kick is just as important imho

do you remember Gareth Thomas' s first game of league for Celtic? took his first drive in against Les Cats and got knocked out lol. im not saying that will happen to Ronnie Biggs but it just shows that there's a difference in the two codes.

Biggs is far, far more aquainted to RL than Thomas was. He may not have played it (at least not to a decent level) but he's watched it all his life.

The signing has been made to try and make the most of the salary cap, that seems to be the official line at least.

He was not a radders signing but he seems to think he will go well once he's upto speed, strong with the ball in hand & a good defender, as for people saying he will struggle to make the switch this is stupid players have coped very well going either way.

It was Radford decision to sign Biggs, gentle did enquire, but he signed when radford was in charge.

Not sure why people are moaning, he doesn't count on the cap so it is a no lost situation, he is coming right reasons also, bet could have earnt more money in Union than in League.

Ask him next time you speak to him it was all done by bomber, although it was announced after radders took charge.

Which he can mate. My only worry is his height. At 5,10 he's not the biggest but we'll see on that one.
I've followed his career for years and I've always thought his style is so suited for league. I for one can't wait to see him at the KC.
