| Just seen that heremaia has been charged with grade b offence for a spear tackle in the cc final.
Would expect a ban, would like to know if there is any charge for mcillorums (sp?) shoulder charge or Hansen running elbow first into miller? If not its shocking as these tackles had as much potential to cause harm as heremaias tackle did.

| Pretty harsh call I reckon. Looking at it on replay there's nothing much in it, and like you say plenty of apparent intent in a few Wigan challenges.
But when your luck's out....

| Hang on a minute, in our home game against Wakefield Justin Poore rammed the head of one of our players into the ground and had no case to answer. How can this tackle be deemed to be worse than that? The RFL really do need to get a grip.

| I thought one on one you could lift the legs as long as the hands where not between the legs. Back at the KC against Wigan they performed tackles similar to this on about four occasions, with three or four men in the tackle. But hey ho, only when the cap fits

RFL has been consistent with this. McShane was banned last week for exactly the same tackle.Anyhoo it will be an EPG and 1 match.

Pity its the wrong time and wrong player. It was in the 60th minute and the player was O'Loughlin not Lynch Maybe get off on a technicality.A few teams would try'"
You may have something there. The disciplinary is supposed to follow quasi-judicial principles. If they can't get the time and alleged victim right, the case should be thrown out.

it was a typical soft penalty that the likes of Tomkins gets awarded! tickle never challenged him, he landed on him! ive seen McDonnell do the same yet its been waved play on!

| The. RFL claim the disciplinery process is thorough, fair and transparent and even went to pains to show how the system works on Boots N All the other week. The Justin Poore spear tackle on Shannon McDonnell was if anything worse. I believe Paul Aiton (the other player in the tackle) helped the situation by at least trying to hold McDonnell up.I dread to think of the possible consequences otherwise.Poore got off Scott free, no case to answer. How even handed will the 'system' be now ? .... I think we all know the answer to that.

| If this is the tackle involving O'Loughlin then I would actually say O'Loughlin milked the penalty by throwing himself through the air. Heremaia did very little and put very hardly any effort into it but O'loughlin threw himself into a roll and fooled the ref

| 100% agree re O'loughlin milking the pen once he had been lifted , Heremaia's problem ( during the game) was that once committed there was nothing he could do but be penalised.
Reckon warning re technique

| Very similar to the mcshane one against us yhat wasn't even penalised in the game and he copped a ban. Would be a risky one to contest.

Last season there was a rather nasty tackle ON Mika by Westwood.
The disciplinary had MIKA up in the exact minute Westwood committed the offence.......................a day later the time of the supposed offence changed and Mika got a ban. In other words they got it wrong and instead of admitting it they searched like mad to find any kind of offence committed by Mika to ban him with.
It stunk then and it still stinks now.

He didn't land on his head though. He was being turned over then threw himself into a roll and as soon as he landed looked at the ref with a dodgy looking smile on his face. He milked it good and proper
