For me, he deserves to keep his place, whether Crookes is fit or not.

Sure, he's got an error in him and his defence needs improving but he can learn that in time at SL level and with the season as it is, he has time to learn before the cup/play offs.

Real threat going forward too, looks like a confident player.

him and b crooks are the future and the more game time right now is gonna pay dividends in the years to come. im happy to see lineham first choice having said that j crookes was a stands out performer in the first two games. its the perfect headache wish we had the same situation at halfback lol

Crookes should earn his position back and if Lineham plays like he did on Saturday and last season then it will be hard for Crookes to get back in.

However I have been impressed with Crookes so far and feel a lot more confident about them as wingers when Briscoe goes next season.

Lineham was great on Saturday but Crookes has been excellent so far this season, nice headache to have.

I'd also be looking at signing Lineham up on a long term deal.

Yes, he played his junior footy in he centres and also played there for England Academy.

I said the other day based on how lineham went n how crookes went before him how it'll be a shame for one to be sat on the sidelines.

Cos crookes biggest weakness is his passing game hence becoming a winger and is a handy finisher in a tight spot but not so likely to make a break out of nothing

Anybody can learn how to pass a ball. But it's always a good option to have. I'd like to see how JC played at centre with Lineham on the wing.

Who would you drop to put Crookes at Centre.

Heres a novel idea, we have three centres (+Whiting) and three wingers, why don't we just play the best two out of the three. Any slight injuries and we have cover.

My own view is Lineham will be create but Crookes has impressed me so far, especially under the high ball. We have the luxury of bringing in Lineham gradually before he becomes full time next season.

I hope we are in negotiations with Tom to extend his contract because this kid has the world at his feet. Has the lot and isn't frightened of anybody.

Potential to be better than Briscoe IMO, Tom B can do some magical things at times, but think Lineham will bea more consistent player.

Him and Green are the two highlights fir me this season.

Briscoe to centre could be an option. He doesn't seem to be doing much on the wing at the moment, but there's obvious quality there so maybe a change could bring out the best in him?

As it stands, we're going to have to keep him on the wing until Crookes returns regardless (as there's no one else). Ben Crooks should keep centre spot until Jason is back. Arundel not deserving his spot at the moment.

Lineham needs to be signed up to a long term deal ASAP.

But until we get a decent scrum half, none of this really matters.

About 5 years ago, yup. Then realised he's an international winger.

And he struggles to pass without looking uncomfortable just like Yeaman.

I would drop Briscoe for Friday and play Crookes and Lineham on the wings. Briscoe looked totally disinterested/distracted. I think his mind is elsewhere. The shock of being dropped may help him re-focus for the rest of the season.
