Firstly it was a superb following by us. I think the attendance was just over 9k which shows how many we took.

Secondly how funny was Richard Owen offering the Hull fans out for a fight just before half-time?

Thirdly, as good as Horne has been at the start of this season he was appaling today.

Fourthly, could Manu be our new centre? Showed some great centre play for the Briscoe try and scored himself outwide after a good break by Turner.

Finally if Will Sharp keeps this up we won't be needing a new winger on his side of the pitch next season.

Good points all. The Owen thing was very funny.

Another positive for me was Bowden who's looked comfortable In the last couple of games. Happy with the pack and the backline but for me Seymour/Horne not quite there.

I wondered what the Owen situation was as I was just off to siphon the python and heard alot of jeering.

I'm not a fan of Horne as most of you will already know by my posts. But Gentle must have his head in his hands when he sees Horne kicking on the 5th and last. Knowing that a player who has played for 10 years plus who is a 6 can't manage to find the ground with the ball. His long kicking game is a complete joke!

Not even once thought about replacing Sharp with a new winger tbh, Agar just didn't have the faith in him and constantly knocked his confidence.

I've said it millions of times and I'll say it again, if we're after a new centre and we should be. Look at signing a left hand centre and move Yeamo to the right. His biggest asset is his defence and use that to counter other teams attack on their left hand sides. Every team has their best attacking wing centre partnership on the left hand side.

Agree on Horne and I'm somewhat of a defender of him on here, his kicking game in the first half was shocking and made to look worse by the short pitch at Cas as they never had to clear their own 20.

The saying is never got out of 1st gear but I don't even think we got out of neutral. In the 1st half we were trying to be too fancy and were putting pressure on ourselves.

Got to say the ref today and his touch judges were terrible, looked totally out of his depth and the 10 metres was only about a 7 and players were still offside

For the Owen thing, I was listening to Yorkshire Radio today and they said that Cas players had complained to the ref that something had been thrown at them from the crowd.

Blunderside said the same. I hope they're wrong.

Another pleasing aspect of today's game occurred before the kick off. The utilisation of Green and Kent in the pre match warm was superb, great man management by Gentle to involve the youngsters out there. Also put Heremia through his pace's to.

Still a few errors in our performance (Tickle's kick out on the full from the kick off, our kicking game in general, McKinnon's crazy pass to Sharp in his own 20) but we dug in and got a comfortable win in the end, which shows we are a good side.

I still feel we lack 2/3 players to turn us into a top side, but I am very happy that the players we do have are giving 100% each week.

Never felt that we would lose this game today, but wasn't happy that we conceeded 28 points.

Owen acted like a prick when he couldnt handle the banter from the FC fans, didnt look like anything was thrown from were i was stood, near enough right behind it.

As for plus points apart from usual suspects, Tony Martin again, Whiting (the swiss army knife of our team as ive seen someone describe him tonight) and Bowden looking better for each gmae he plays

Plus point for me that Peter Gentle knew just what to do at half time, as we never looked in danger after the break.
The right hand side of the team looked strong today, Sharp was superb yet again.
Whiting can not only play in any position, he actually plays well no matter where he is playing.
Still plenty to come (work in progress), so thats a big positive for me.

I'd give Ellis a shot at 6 next week, and move Horne to '1'.

IMHO,Horne's short kicking game has improved, but... his passing speed is pedestrian and predictable. his long kicking game ,well....... the least said, the better.

No beer was thrown over him

There was Karl was ,talking to a young lad on the way back to the car.He stated that beer was thrown over him .Behind us a Cas fan said a coin was thrown I ask him if that was the case why wasn't it pick up by the ref or others on the pitch at the time

Listen i was right next to the incident and NOTHING apart from some really funny jibes were thrown at them, Owen was a cokk and thats all there is to it, the fat dude in the FC hoodie really gave him some hassle mind and he proper spat his dummy out ha ha, but only banter and some comments on "if he had done his homework ready for school " etc which really upset him

How the hell can you give verbals to a deaf lad?

I honesty think it would be better for the team to have him play on the other side next season if we are of course bringing in another centre. Another thing is, Yeamo has plenty of years left in him and if FC are expecting Crooks to make the break through within the next few years. Then perhaps it'd be better if he was playing on the right. Unless of course Hull do move Yeamo to the right. Sign an overseas centre in his prime who will only be here for a handful of years and hope/expect that Crooks will replace him.

I know us fans blame the ref for everything from the black death to meteorites,but this guy today was truly awful.How many Cas offsides did he ignore for starters?

not seen a player lose it like owen since the widnes game in the mid 00s when we really got at terry o connor - i think it was the singing of 'you'll be playing hull kr' to him that did it
