Just read it, I defended Rule before but the arrogance of the man. He has brought shame on the club and using mental illness as an excuse is just low.

I said at the time stress related illness didn't make any sense.

If you read the individual PDF documents for the 3 cases it makes a right tangled web of the story..

=#FF0000Carefully. Under the UK's somewhat draconian libel laws it's still possible to libel folk who have been found guilty of an offence. And speculation concerning any other people who may be implicated is still off limits.

I suggest you read the documents available from the link before making any further daft comments. Long did nothing wrong at all - hence he hasn't been implicated in the affair. All he did was give Gleeson a supplement he was already using and that had been cleared by that muppet Cooper.

It's not clear if it was his initial idea but it certainly seems like he facilitated and coordinated the false statements etc. What an idiot. He should have sacked Cooper for failing to properly check the supplement and thrown Gleeson on the mercy of the UKDA panel. Worst case would have been a similar length ban for Gleeson.

The irony is that nobody actually set out to break any rules to begin with. I actually feel sorry for Gleeson as he was given incorrect advice - albeit second hand - and didn't think he was doing anything wrong.

He still gave it to Gleeson when it is not his job to do so.

Nothing wrong with taking supplements that don't contain MHA but have a similar effect. In fact, it says in the report that the clubs supplement provider have a similar thing, but Hull didn't have any in stock at the time.

How on earth did some of you believe he had off field medical problems, well suppose he kind of did and now its out in the open.

Its like tv soap at FC over recent years, hard to believe some of the story lines that have come out!

One brain dead moron who couldn't be bothered to spend 5 seconds checking the WADA website passes on a banned supplement to his brain dead moron mate who also couldn't be bothered to spend 5 seconds checking the WADA website, all under the watch of a third brain dead moron who couldn't be bothered to spend 5 seconds checking the WADA website (or decided he would ignore what it says).

Long DID do something wrong - he was using a banned substance which he hadn't checked out, then gave it to his mate which has resulted in him losing his job.

Feel very sorry for Glees though - clearly not the brightest and it's cost him throughout his career.

He could still have mental health issues alongside this debacle. Or this debacle could have brought on his stress related problems.

Its quite scary that one persons advice can potentially ruin one or more careers. What if he had (did?) give the same advice to any number of players? Perhaps clubs should put in place a second opinion to cover themselves even if that's someone at the RFL, external practice or even another club.

So does this mean that Sean Long was also using OxiElite Pro after he was given the OK from Cooper??

It certainly seems that way, why else would he ask Cooper about it if not.

Lucky for him he was injured a lot and didnt play enough games whereby he could have been tested then!
