Well while Agar is there I won't be.So if Pearson is planning for a great future with ever increasing fans he has to BIN Agar.A lot of fans feel like this as you can tell by the crowds.

I think we should all get used to the fact that we will start next season with Agar as our coach.

If AP is indeed the smart business man he is portrayed as, no chance Agar will be our coach next season.

I'm just preparing myself for the worst. If Pearson had bought the club at the beginning of the season maybe he would've let Agar go but I can see him getting a dozen or so games next season.

I hear what your saying and I understand your pessimism (after 3 yrs it is hard to shake off)...but surely a man of AP business statue would be fully aware of Agars results not only this season but thoughout his reign....surely!!

I don't think there's anything there to suggest that he's staying.

Hopefully, he's got employment lined up at Wakey (god help them) for next year but he'll have negotiated some kind of payoff from FC for the last year of his contract. Until then, he's being a good 'company man' and saying all the right things about the new regime to ensure he gets his money and his departure is portrayed in a positive light for everyone concerned.

Pearson isnt stupid he knows that if things stay the same pass sales and crowds will go down the pan.

I thought that. More subtle deflection of blame on to the old board, a bit of praise for the new man in and the suggestion that it will enable him (Agar) to deliver. Could easily be as much an attempt to hold on to next year as another chance.

I guess much will depend on how we perform in the remaining matches and whether we make the 8. Pearson will be watching the performances and no doubt the attendances too.

If we win beat Cats and Cas we'll make the 8 and that may be enough to persuade Pearson to give Agar 6-8 matches next season.

If we beat Wire and win a play off match we could really be in trouble

There is no way Pearson will keep Agar. I'd bet there is a replacement lined up already.

Exactly. If he is going (and possibly already has another job lined up) why not just announce it now.

Might still be negotiations ongoing on a release, or his new job, or with his replacement. There are a number of reasons TBH. Still have a nagging feeling that he'll be here next season though.

Pearson has publicly stated that his biggest regret in his time at Hull City was taking a team that Brian Little had led to playoffs (despite a paperthin squad that hadn't been paid for several months) and completely ripping the dressing room apart with new signings...and then eventually sacking Little himself a few months in when the new squad didn't gel and results were mediocre.

I think that will still be in his mind right now. He won't want to make too many changes too soon.

I still have the feeling that Agar will be gone before next season though.

I hope if we lose to Catalan on Friday the fans really step up the 'Agar Out' movement and nudge him further to the exit door.
