playing briscoe centre was a poor selection, as his defencive thinking and reading was poor with him not playing their, sharp outside and longy were poor, why no washbrook, he can change our attack with his support play and good line runs but agar opted for 3 props and a secondrower in which all were on for a short period of time,, as for dowes why the hell did we re sign him, my 12 years old has more leg drive than him.

Its deeper than that. The whole feckin squad selection and recruitment is wrong. But thats a boring subject now that our super coach has known and spoken about for months and months. Its been our priority for years now but still we have failed to do anything about it, other than to sign yet another backrower with an alleged drink / attitude problem.

And then moan when it doesn't work out ... damned if you do .....

Our props should be Fitz, O'Meley, Moa and Lauaki, Dowes should be nowhere near our 17.

He should be nowhere near Super League.

Dowes should be nowhere near the 17. Fitzgibbon should be in the back or front row, Westerman at 13.

Agar needs to sort out the pack rotation, it's a complete joke.

In the backs, not a lot he could do, practically picks itself. But when Phelps is here, Briscoe should go back to the wing, and Whiting into the centres.

How many times do we have to have the same conversations about team selections? Agar seems to pick his team based on which senior players happen to be fit and how he can somehow shoehorn them into the team.

Radford hadn't played in preseason, yet is selected to start, then lasts 20 mins max and doesn't come back. Why?

Must have been injured, I cant think of any other reason cos he started the game very well and played a big part in our early domination. In fact the changes Agar made at 14-0 seem to disrupt the team too much.

Defence and discipline cost Hull today the attempted tackles on Newton and Galea were nothing short of pathetic. Why people are looking to slag players like Briscoe and Lyne amazes me. OK Lyne gave a soft penalty away but some far more senior players did a while lot worse in the penalty and missed tackle stakes.

Raddford said on RH Hamstring injury the interviewer said a "sprinters injury" Radford replied "I did not know I had one until today".

I don't understand all of these comments about "all the briscoe at centre lovers are hiding". Err...? Didn't think he had a bad game at all.
Sean long made some disgraceful decisions in defence. Anybody else notice that the only two times long ran with the ball he put someone through a massive gap (the one where fitz knocked on, cant remember who long gave it to), and the second time sharp scored in the corner. Coincidence?
Though danny houghton started the game superbly, O'meley gave 100% all the way through played well. Moa came on and eventually make an impact, when we finally started utilizing his strengths... giving him it to run onto!
Manu didn't get enough quick ball at pace outwide
Turner is clueless, feels the need to miss out 3 men to give the ball to the winger allowing the defence to slide with incredible ease, reducing all attacking threat.
Dowes had a shocker compared to his normal standards, gave away a penalty and missed important tackles which is unlike him
Fitz looked knackered
Westerman will learn
Tickle played decently
Whiting tried his hardest ( as usual )
Sharp needs a bit more composure
Need more effort from other players so lyne doesnt have to scoot from dummy half and get 1 metre.

Loads of things need sorting out if we don't want to get smashed by leeds.

That's exactly my point, we basically changed the make up of our pack to "fit in" a player that didn't play a pre-season game. If this was Thursron, Marshall or Cronk i could understand but Radford?
