NO! I would not consider the book be suitable for a 12 year old. The book does not go into detail about rugby league and is mostly about his lively social life. Although the nature of the adult themes will not scar you, they are not really the kind of things youngsters should be reading about. Despite Sean's wonderful talent on the field, he is a very poor role model and I think he would be the first to admit that.

I told a friend recently, that I did not think it would be a suitable Christmas gift his 80 year old dad. Longy does not hold back on anything. I found the book enjoyable in a similar way to how people turn round to view a car crash.
