Says that talking to players including Berrigan in training, the players get loads of input from the coaching staff in terms of their opposite numbers in advance of a game, including video of things to look out for etc. Players just aren't doing it on the pitch. Maybe if the players were more worried about the team performances than there own we might see a bit of improvment

Knowing a few players some of them are more than happy if they think they have played well themselves rather than looking at the scoreboard and seeing yet another defeat for the team

Its obvious certain players know there going and have thrown there hand in, ateotd they represent our club, and if they haven't got no pride in there personal performance, the shirt and for the fans and there teamates then it's up to the coach to make an example of them and drop them

TBF it was in answer to a question of "who's to blame, Agar, the players or the board?" and he said he thought the blame for yesterday lay squarely with the players and their shambolic efforts in defence in the first 20. There's an interview with Mark O'Meley in the HDM tomorrow, where he says when he's arriving, and says that he won't be taking any nonsense from anyone. If I were in charge I'd pay him a bonus to twát anyone caught smoking, drinking, not putting in 100% effort, not going to the East Stand to kiss their badge after a game, or just generally taking the pi$$, leaving the definition of this last part to his discretion

Which is why the forthcoming clearout is much needed. If we have to put up with so called pro players spitting their dummy out for a few weeks so be it. The club has hopefully, at long last, recognised the error of its ways in recruitment and showing loyalty to players who have given precisely nothing back. What I would like to see now is the list of those departing published well before the end of the season. Where possible those players should not be selected - at least the fans would understand why. Let's get it out in the open - it would be like an admission by the club that all has not been well but at least it is being addressed. If the club shows itself to be sorting out these issues once and for all it might just bring club and supporters a bit closer together as another failing season draws to a close.
