Just sat watching the program about this horrible day in sporting history! I can't believe its been 20 years since it happened. I remember getting in from a Saturday afternoon session in Lasers and hearing the reports of the deaths at the Liverpool v Forest game and thinking 'What the f++k', how could this happen'.....I repeat......HORRIBLE!

I remember it like it was yesterday, was sat at my grandads watching it, and he went from at the start blaming hooligans, to being in tears within 20 minutes.

watched this on sky anytime and the memorial service on sports news today. Its horrendous what happened on that day. Rip

Was at Palace v Portsmouth and when I got back after the game my brother said there was a report of ONE death. Even that sounded tragic.

Soon the number was rising every few minutes as more reports came through.

Seemed no time since we'd had Heysel and Bradford and suddenly we had this in front of us as well.

Very sad day.

I was there, as a 7 year old boy!! and it still sends shivers down my spine! God Bless!. Very very sad and painfull day 4 sport.

Drowning would be bad..I wonder if crushing what the poor fans suffered is similar, due to lack of oxygen,similar again to being buried alive.
It was a shocking way to die..

I watched the documentary on sky+ and some of the parents spoke of their terrible experiences and so did the players who visited the hospitals and attended the funerals..heart wrenching viewing..

Gotta say me as a young lad stood in the opposite end... I didnt know what the hell was going on that awful day..

Still to this day its still a slight blur...

I just remember leaving the ground around 3.40pm after kick off.. and walking outside the ground past the Liverpool fans the other end.. And seeing total devastation... Ambulances everywere....

My Dad knowing what was going on Sheltering my eyes and rushing me to the car..

Its wasnt till years later things all sunk in...

was pretty much shown live at the time because the club were celebrating winning promotion and had a much bigger crowd than normal. the catalog of health and safety blunders were frightening even though it was only 25 years ago, and sadly kind of summed up the state of footy grounds in those days
