Those of you who DON'T UNDERSTAND about depression....just keep your IGNORANT thoughts to yourselves.

Seymour reminds me a bit of Chris Thorman. Both arrived at Hull with a decent enough reputation but no matter what they did, it didn't work. Sometimes I think you can try too hard. No doubt there will be further developments in the weeks to come, and whatever the outcome, let's remember he's a human being.

He must have been very low to attempt this, just glad he's okay and will hopefully get all the help he needs. Bigger things than rugby.

He probably cared a lot more that things weren't working out than some of the goons on here gave him credit for.

Oh Boy I've been a critic as much as the next guy its my perogative as a paying customer but for it to have come to this he needs some slack cutting from all black and whites and a deal of understanding too please consider before anyone makes any stupid comments. Its a sad situation and this guy needs some support from all of us.

He needs time to get himself sorted, maybe back home in Aus where he can be close to his family and friends, hope he gets well soon, having seen first hand how depression can take a hold of someone i hope he gets the help that is required to get through this.

Cant see too many doing that, no need to turn this into a ing contest.

As Wilf says above, a lot have been critical regarding mainly his on field, but i cant see too many FC fans saying anything bad at present, regardless of whats happened a life is more precious than a rugby ball.

Just because some people wont understand or have had to deal with such issues, doesnt make them ignorant

I'd hope him and Pearson (I wonder if AP ever did sit down with him, and have a talk with him, like he said he would) can come to sort of settlement if he does decide he wants to go home.

Surely better for him to be in Oz with his family. Hope he gets sorted

Hope he gets through this, good luck to him and his family. As a club I hope we're giving him all the support he needs, as fans it's another reminder that these guys are only human.

I wish him all the best. I don't think that anybody truly understands how severe depression can be until they, or someone close to them, experiences it first-hand.

I hope that he gets himself back to a state where he is happy.

Don't post on here that often but all the best to Brett and his family depression is an awful thing for someone to have to deal with
