Messed up with Abdul, leaving us short in the halfback.[/quote:158daoar] To be fair Dave, I don't think saying Myler messed up the Abdull signing is fair comment, we signed a player that has the ability but lacks the fitness and from what I understand his fitness was a key factor on the deal signed. So in this instance he probably did the right thing having certain stipulations. Lets not forget the market isn't exactly flush with HB's and we weren't exactly an attractive proposition at the time of signing Abdull which was pre takeover and to be fair we still aren't until we show improvement this season. Myler to give him some credit has moved out some of the players that were poor performing, had poor attitudes, questionable fitness history which we all wanted to see. We now seem a more professional outfit and without the sentimental millstone we had round our necks for years.

You toe the line follow the instructions and get your head down with Cartwright, or your out, the coaches and physios do their bit but the players have to do theirs, that's what one of the assistant coaches told me weeks ago on this subject. And so it has been!! This is not just strong action, but also a lesson for the rest I guess!

A hard nosed NRL coach, who’s worked in elite environments over the last twenty years, makes a decision on a player. I’m comfortable with whatever conclusion he reaches.

That would be a good reason to release him. Like most my feeling is that he’d have done well for us but if he’s not fully committed then we need him to go. As people have said we need to trust the coaches

I’m a little disappointed that a young talent has left but like most others on here , I’m happy to go with myler and Cartwrights opinion’s on the matter . Good luck to him at cas

Disappointing as he's a decent prospect, however I'd guess he's signed elsewhere for next year and isn't fit enough to play yet, maybe for some time so the club feel he's not worth keeping around. Maupybe he has or hasn't looked after himself enough, we'll probably never know the truth but leaches another hole in an already small squad
