Quote="Bombed Out"I don't think a pat on the back, self congratulatory thread is of any use here in terms of pass sales or renewals, it all just seems a bit blasé and doesn't address any of the issues.
I would assume most of us on here are pass holders anyway.
My concern is that Rovers have sold more passes than us for the first time in SL and our sales whilst steady are still in decline.
I have numerous friends and a couple of family members that have decided not to renew for this season unfortunately based on the last couple of years but definitely last season killed off their passion for actively supporting the club.
The club needs to produce on the field more than ever to repair the damage of last season and for me I'm still badgering those I know to renew, now with have new found optimism.
I know Adam said we need to get back to crowds of 11,500 so I think we all need to actively do our bit to help.'"
If we only had a ground that held 10000 I think we would sell out. Some people don't need to buy a pass as there is always an available ticket.
Still not hit the 6500 full paying members, seems the new regime hasn't gone down too well? A fair few not renewing according to the pod this week.[/quote:1uuh93vg]
Obviously the Club have it totally wrong when they say, ".....with club chairman Andrew Thirkill covering the cost of all of the junior tickets purchased for the Wigan game as a thank you for the incredible support of our members over the off-season, with the club now having reached the 7,500 membership mark!"
Club just confirmed 7.5k passes sold, only the club will know exactly how much the ownership announcement boosted sales but it seems to have kept sales coming in when usually they decline after the price discount ends.
Members double 2 tickets for £10 is back for the Wigan game along with Junior pass holders being able to get another Junior ticket for free.
Anyone who attends has to remember we are in transition, and playing the 4 time trophy winners though. No whinging if it isn't a storming start please [/quote:jjonmz9e]
we were god awful last season and beat them so I'm expecting a win
Full ticket prices may get some stick, it's now £34 in East Reserved though I imagine prices were worked out before the takeover (Pass prices are based on getting so many free games)
For reference City are charging £32 for the same seat.[/quote:psobawcm]
That's ridiculous. They need to do something about that

Yes, we've won the last three at home to Wigan. The best run since 1985 which is a very long time.

It's funny isn't it how that year keeps popping up, it's always been mentioned around these parts, for various numerous reasons!!
If we make it four wins on the bounce against Wigan next month I still won't be as stunned as last year's victory, talk about an unexpected win. I'm still not sure who was the more perplexed at the result, them or us!
