Thanks for this edition Wilf, you've put into words what so many of us have been feeling, cannot begin to describe the emotions on hearing the final whistle - we've won the cup before but we have the dobbins to thank for making where it's won important. It's just a pitch innit.
We've just been present at the laying of the foundations of a dynasty with someone (Lenny) who a lot of fans didn't want at the club how does he compare with Darryl Powell now.
So so so so happy - like you. I must say that, sitting in the crowd at Wembley, I thoroughly enjoyed the last six seconds, but the rest was agony. When Watts dragged himself to his feet with one last huge effort to make the final tackle, followed by Mini dropping on the ball, I could finally celebrate (by breathing).
Great summary of a very emotional weekend, well done, in putting into words, what I still can't. I spent the last 4 minutes hunched up in my seat, when I heard the crowd cheer, I leapt up to see Danny's tackle on the big screen and 30 seconds to go, I was petrified, Hewer would give a ball steal/knock on. Then just went looney, nearly pulled my wifes head off. I was lucky enough to have 2 of my brothers with me, proper family hoodoo smasher that one.
