Actually seemed an okay bloke, i.e. wasn't 'mouthing off', and took the banter well. This is just me, but if I was in the exact same position I wouldn't have worn Hull colours, e.g. because it wouldn't have felt worth the inevitable verbal abuse from some who would have been drinking for hours (especially been a night match), but each to their own and credit to him for contributing to the Wakey coffers.
And re Dixon, I don't see it as fickle. IMO if full-time pros are making numerous rookie mistakes their large salaries (compared to most of us) dictate that they deserve a bit of constructive criticism. On the other hand, when they give everything they have and use their skills to the max, then praise the guy. Surely every workplace has that policy?
