Quote ="ComeOnYouUll"Their matchday marketing and Bullmania may have been a little over the top but your comments are harsh. Whatever they did worked, their attendances were regularly around 15,000 at their peak.
The Robbie Hunter-Paul remark is pathetic.'"
It just so happened Bullmania coincided with the most successful period of Bradford bulls/Northern existence so attendances would have improved dramatically regardless of the marketing. The marketing will have helped but the last few season have shown that those pulled in by the success were starting to fall off. It happens at all clubs including our own, when at our peak in the 80's we were drawing in good crowds, but as the 80's moved into the 90's a huge chunk of those supporters disappeared and it took a long long time to entice them back.
Even in recent times on the back of poor seasons our support has taken a downward spiral and we are finding it hard to entice supporters to come back. Success will always be the biggest factor in improving crowds.
