My son is 18 next month and after always playing football since the age of 7 and for 6 years at quite a high level as a Goalkeeper , he's now decided he would like to join a local rugby league team and play rugby!! , now remebering he's never played league before and then only 1 year of rugby union at school as a fullback (although his coach at the time spoke highly of his ability in this position lol) I really don't know if any teams would even want him now he is nearly 18.
If anyone knows of any local league teams who may allow him to train develop him etc without expecting the world from him the advice would be greatly welcome.

Just about to go into the Off season ( which would be good so he gets to know the boys and the moves) , The under 18's train with the Open age on East park, Were a good team, With a good set of lads. We have a Full back in the open age already.

Don't know how good he is, But we have a game on Hayworth Park Tomrrow 2pm Kick off, Small pitch on the side, And theres a premier league game going on the main pitch,
