Southend is okay in small doses, yes whistable is more civilised but full of the blue rinse brigade and there's feck all there to do on a night.
Stay in Leigh on Sea and mosy on into Sarfend at night.. Have some local mussels they are excellent
Think Gillingham will be just a day trip for me but as long as the game stays on a sunday and not moved to a friday it will be no big deal to me, while i have to agree with some posters that it will be probably better attended had it been a north of London venue i still think Hull will take around the 1000 mark, how well the game is promoted around the Gillingham area to attract people is another question??, this is what expansion is all about isn't it?. On a personal point of view i usually enjoy going to grounds i haven't visited before so with saints and salford new grounds to visit and man citys place and now gillingham i'm looking forward to putting a few more on the list.
