Quote ="Mrs Barista"Fully agree. Fitzgibbon, for example, is putting in 60-odd tackles a week - can't think of any players pulling on the shirt since I've been going (20 years) who demonstrate his commitment to the team. Sounds like Horne is playing when possibly he shouldn't be for the sake of the team. O'Meley last season played several rounds with busted ribs. The effort is there even if the planning and execution aren't and the players deserve our support IMO.'"
But that's just it planning and execution isn't there so everyone has to be responsible. We've turned posession over very cheap, our execution is the opposition 20 metre area has been below average, it took us almost 20 mins against Hudds to get into their half with tackles in hand, for our first three games we conceded a massive amount of points and our kicking game has been hopeless but yet Agar takes the flack and the players should just be supported? For me the performances, until last night, haven't been good enough. I'm not an Agar fan but the players have to take responsibility too.
Quote ="fc baldy"Im in the Agar out brigade and appluded the team out at the start and applauded the good bits, whinged at the bad and applauded them off....i showed my support to the players wearing the shirt....not him in the stand.'"
If the players perform badly you still applaud them off and it's the coaches fault? should the players not take some blame for performing below par? we lost three on the bounce that is not completely and only Agar's fault.
