Am I mising something on here. Why do people still have Whiting down as a winger/centre.As much as I like the bloke go back to the semi final in 2005.He made a break then and was to slow to score so he gave a silly pass out which fortunatley for us came off.If he was not fast enough in 2005 why do people think he is fast enough now.Let's play wingers on the wing and centre's in the centre. As for rich IMO standin 6 or 13.
TBH I'd like to see him leave. With his recent injury record and the fact we now have 2 other good wingers, any offer to him should be too low for him not to get a better deal elsewhere, otherwise it's not good value to us.
Pay as you play is a nice idea, but the problem I see with that is that we then risk either wasted cap space if he doesn't play that much, or going over it if he does. Or with the live cap it could well mean we get to a certain point in the season and he is no longer available for selection but still entitled to his minimum wage.
I like Calderwood, but his fitness is obviously suspect. He reminds me of Stuart Pearson when he played for Man United, excellent player, but could get injured stepping off the bus.
