Gone is the day when you winger will recieve the ball and hare off down the wing leaving all in his wake..
Most backs (and some forwards) are of similar speed and I think height is becoming more important than blistering speed for a winger.. As Wigan's one trick pony Pat Richards would pay testament to... a massive source of tries for them with diagnal kicks to the corner. I wary if wingers aren't 6 foot, though Raynor is class. Colin Best anyone?
