Maybe it needs the likes of Johnny Thompson, Nigel Bell, Andy Kelly and others to have some back room involvement with the squad supporting the coach and to let them know what it should be like to wear the jersey and give 100% every time it is worn.

There needs to be a motivator in the set up.

how do you work that one out that our squads better than cas squad. powell has the team believing in themselves not frightened to play a team who will run through brick walls for him and the main point a team that looks as FIT as it can be, add to that they are more skilled up and can catch and pass then thats why theyre where they are. on current form how many of ours would get in the cas team.

Hudson isn't Cas. He was a Leeds fan as a kid, born in Garforth and lived from early years in Rothwell. Played his Junior rugby for Wakey sides.

Hudson was going nowhere at Huddersfield Giants when Wakefield rescued him. Once established as a Super League player he chose to move on (or up as he stated at the time) to Cas. The move was an open secret done deal for about half the time of his last season at Wakefield.
Wakefield was just a temporary vehicle at the time just like it would be now if a coaching opportunity came up at Cas.

Judging by Agars press conferences he has given up. If we don't get rid he will send us down. Morisson is a ready made replacement. Can't believe we gave Agar a 3 year deal big mistake. Losing by 54 points at home with the team we had out on Sunday is a utter disgrace. I hope Mr Carter has been in to tell them what for. If the players showed as much determination as Snowie giving his time up to do the ground we would not lose by that much. If the players put half the effort that snowie is in doing the stadium modds we would be a massive force I can tell you that as a fact from going down to the ground and helping him out.Agar could do worse than take the players round and show them whats been done and the hours that snowie has put in of his own time.

I didn't go. I was running the Brighton Marathon and I can tell you I would rather run the last 8 miles again than watch another game by a team coached (if that is the word) by Agar. Trailey was a hunslet lad, but that great 60s side had a sprinkling of local lads on a regular basis Freddie smith and Neil in the three quarters, poynton and holiday at halfback firthy, Sampson, oaks, briggsy and turner in a fearsome pack as well as a load of local lads on the fringes Wigan ,st Helens and Leeds for three have shown local lads among a few quality players from elsewhere is the ingredient needed for success

Try 3 under performing years at Hull on top of that! A familiar pattern follows his coaching career....the occasional impressive display heavily sandwiched between horrendous performances. We were mostly willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Hoping that maybe there were issues beyond his control at Hull. When you look at his CV it's beyond belief that he can have such a long career in top flight rugby. With this new 3 year deal he would have earn't himself 8 years worth of coaching contracts in Super League. He must be a smooth talker to get them contracts, I guess he was a snake oil salesman in a previous life.

Genuine question, has anybody know of a link where it states he signed a 3 year extension? I never saw it formally announced, just a line from MC saying ge had extended his contract on the radio?

Just looked on the 'Zero Tackle' website and they have Jordan Crowther signed up til 2017 but Agar only to end of this season.
So it must be pretty up to date, maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel but I also thought he had been given a 2 year extension.

ok il try to explain to you, our club is littered with people with no affection for the club from the coaches down to the players, no local lads, no local grunt. a stepping stone to something else. is agar any better than andy kelly, hudson better than say richard slater. with the odd exception if your youngster had talent would you trust trinity to develop them from a junior to the top. is jordan greyson any worse than mathers, is annekin worse than washbrook. we have one of the best areas for talent in the country, lads who are as good as wigan and leeds at 16 but we along with many others dont know what to do with them. someone seriously needs to get a grip of our club on the playing side cause floating along like its ok is not good enough its pathetic. always 2nd best always on the cheap. WERE PLAYING WITH LADS CAREERS ITS PATHETIC.

I can understand your frustrations but just because coaches aren't from Wakefield that doesn't make them any less passionate than if the did, are we going to go down the road the Yorkshire cricket did in the past and only had players and coaches from that area.

I agree the club has lost a lot of passion and grunt and we do need some motivational players standing up

we do have local players still wanting to play for their club which is a good thing but when they get shipped out, cast away or tempted with better offers your back to square one
