We got a point at Headingley against a full strength side except for Watkins.
They needed the win badly and we were under pressure. Leeds defense was excellent for long periods and we found a way.
We weren't perfect but we got back into the game from behind.
I'm disappointed we didn't win but I'm happy we had an attitude to compete. Many teams would have been hammered today.

2 quality players and they both had speed on there opposite but niether got ball

Worth remembering that we can still finish 5th.

One reckless pass from a victory. Think both teams were evenly matched with both obviously lacking confidence and conviction in attack. On reflection it's nice to be in the mix sitting in 6th and actually the masters of our own destiny. If we have to rely on other fixtures going our way around us and not takevcare of buisness ourselves then being in the top 8 come the split just means survival and nothing more to come from us this season..... Which is obviously disappointing because I believe this squad is capable of much better rugby.

All these experts on here and they fail to see this: we have wingers who we play to, opposition defend against this, we still try to go wide, they slide, we dont have the craft to change that.
IMO: We need a halfback, Miller and the centres are being overrun, we do not threaten in the middles, we need an offload forward. Oppo defence needs to be engaged in the middle before we swing it out wide.

Warrington seem to be giving Charnley plenty of room to play with

All the crap about what we should or shouldn't have done for the first 75 mins came down to our inability to nail a drop goal (twice). Yes we were loose in the first half but, we were the better side in the second and hopefully this is what we will take forward into the last 2 games.

as for the drop goals - close but not close enough. Leeds never looked like scoring when it went to 20-20.

Plenty of Trin fans wanting decisions that didn't go our way but the big decision of the night was the VR decision to award a try to Wakefield.
If that had been a Leeds try, we would have had meltdown on here and there is the "balance".

Another game that we could and should have won but, a great comeback from the boys and hopefully something from the Hull game will let us all rest easy.

Thought it was a pretty good turnout from the Wakey faithfull, with the majority staying well on to give the lads a well deserved ovation.

Also. What an impeccable minutes silence from the crowd post match.

Thought the post match interview with Miller summed up what he's about, was extremely disappointed and emphasised that he was struggling to sleep due to our current situation.
You could also see that Hampshire was gutted as well.
Some players can give interviews after a match and just say the words but these two said them with passion and I hope that's what's running through the rest of the team.

It's almost poetically WT that in a situation when we needed 2 points to be safe, we manage to scrape 1; and I'm fairly certain that an RFL representative moved the post for Hampshire's dg attempt.

Mixed feelings really - we clearly had the better of them, but a sloppy period in the first half let them get a lead that needed to be clawed back; and for all the bleating about Woody's try, I note that the usual patronising advice that these decisions even out over a season, only applies when a team that perceives themselves as 'big' and somehow more deserving, are the beneficiaries of that decision.

With Hall leaving Leeds, there seems to be too many Leeds fans convinced Johnstone is the perfect replacement. “Throw Wakey a few quid and he’s ours”
