Absolute rubbish to claim that the lad is no great loss..do you watch the game at all...12 months ago he was knocking on the door of international honours..the quality hasn't gone mearly the attacking flare of personell around him.now because he is going you appear to be protecting your ego by claiming he's no great loss..you either know nothing about the game or really are protecting your pride I'm afraid

Absolutely, I think he's definitely one of Trinity's better players, and it was only in the last two years his name was being touted about as a potential target for some of the NRL clubs.

Whilst I am dissapointed that it looks like going, it is not the end of the world. We have 2 good centres in Collis and Mellars and also Murphy going could well mean that Walshaw gets more game time.

I must also add that whilst it has been said that Murphy has been touted for international recognition, Kirmond before he had a bad injury was on the verge of an international call up a couple of years ago.

I'd rather it was either Mellars or Collis who weren't at the club as opposed to Murphy.

Ateotd Murphy has played half a season, will be recovering all off season with his injury.

He has not been as effective this year and maybe that is because of a lack of quality around him in2011. You could argue that for alot of players in trinity 2011.

It's not pleasing losing a player who's developed at the club but if it's time for a change so be it.

The squad is shaping up nicely. We are sorted now for second row.

Totally agree scudley. Even Eddie commented on SKY last night at how many former Wakefield players they have. The first 12 points were all from them!
I'd like to see Murphy playing for us next season and for more to come, but will put my faith in those running the club and look forward to seeing what their squad consists of.

Whilst we continue to bend over backwards for Huddersfield why wouldn't they keep coming back to take our most promising youngsters and at the same time dump their fringe players.

At some point, as a club we have to be strong enough to say NO. Now is the perfect time for the new regime to show their ambitions. It that means the player sitting in the stands for a season so be it. Because if we keep relenting to player power, we will keep having these discussions. They signed a contract, they honour it!

Agree with this, the only exceptions are, if we get offered sill money, or they offer good players in return who fill positions we need and they should be the only exceptions.

I was also told of a signing for next year a couple of days before the Leeds game but told to keep shtum , so I have done.
