brenk2k....That is my point, I dont think Mr Parkin will respond on this forum. I feel uncomfortable that he is sounding out and trying to get the fans on board , before he gets the go ahead. Not downing on the gentleman just expressing my feelings.

Airing your views is fine, no problem there, but, in my opinion, it was clearly a sales pitch to the fans, dropping little hints along the way.
He clearly stated afterwards to be taking any advantage, and then was upset about a comment made in innocence by another poster.
For goodness sake we all fall out from time to time on here, and we are JUST fans. If Ted had been on here over the last few years he would have fallen out with everyone, well almost everyone!!
It is, in my opinion, not the proper place for anyone involved in either the running of the club or in the process of bidding for the club.
There is a place for everyone to make their views known, mr glover has a website, the press etc, I just think this place is not it.

He said his presence on this board was to gain a competitive edge; that's the outlook im wanting from our next CEO / chairman / owner although his presence won't influence whether he gets the club (as we (the fans) aren't making the decision.)) However if he is successful then he might well get us on side and express his idea's, vision, strategy to get us on board.

Either way, the parties who are interested are being discussed publicly why should that individual company not get a say. In regards to the above post i'd be worried our prospective new owners didn't check this board, as it receives a high number of posts from Wakefield fans with various opinion, albeit all have a passion for the club (which has hopefully been seen)

His presence here doesn't worry me one bit and I wish him well, and if he gets the club I won't be disappointed. As has been mentioned the decision for our new owners doesn't lie in our hands.

Can sympathise with your views and in an ideal world it would be great to have your (prospective) chairman telling all and sundry to the fans. However something we've all criticised in the past is the unprofessionalism of the club as a whole (Community side apart) and it doesn't give a very professional look if your chair is posting on fans forum sites.

I agree, at this moment in time i don't think its the best idea but time will tell.

We are in desperate need of investment I think we should all take Andrew glover at his word, if he is prepared to step up and invest in our great club at the time when it needs it most we should welcome him with open arms.
Slagging him off and questioning his motives are not the best strategy, are we really in a position to put potential investors off.

Of course not but we need to be honest from day one, if he's looked in on this board over the last few weeks he'll understand posters views and concerns.

I don't think he'll be too unhappy with honest views mate.

I am not too sure Al, if I had the money and was planning to buy the club after reading some of the comments on here I may think twice.

Merlin no one is slagging the guy off. I don't mean to question his intentions however after the long garden path we've all been led up recently we're bound to be feeling vulnerable and cagey. We shouldn't just jump straight in to bed with the first company that shows us some affection. Obviously as I've said earlier its not up to us who takes over but for me lets wait until we've heard the cases of all interested parties.

We've had enough lies and false dawns in the past, and people who have enough intelligence not to be taken in have been swept away with it all.

I'm happy that the auditors will do their duties, and we will get the right man (and I'm certainly not saying Mr Glover is not that man).

very interesting and aggressive marketing approach Andrew... tbh I quite like it...as soon as the news is released about the administration...you take your bid and make it public knowledge..as well as using the forum to win popular support...

what this tells me that there is a fight -a bidding war, if you will - in the offing, for control of the club.

the sad thing is that we had to wait for someone to run the club into the ground before people started coming forward... despite the Crusaders situation I really do think that this administration is the last nail in our superleague life...

I hope... win or lose... you are prepared to do the best thing for the club. It will be a long road back to top flight rugby and a long haul of patience and finance.

If you do your research you will find this man as built his business up over many years and is far from a tin pot millionaire.

Not only is he one of our major sponsors this year he has already promoted our club, I understand he produced some wildcats car stickers and if you look at his tv ad he has the wildcat logo in it.
Sounds like just the kind of tin pot guy we need, or I suppose we could just keep Ted and go bust if you prefer?
