For all we know, it may have been the other players that forced the club's hand. If the rest of the team said to Powell that they would refuse to play if he was in the squad, it doesn't take much to know who's getting dropped

Even as a Leeds fan I feel a bit for the Cas players. I believe Hardaker is the only one with a SL winners ring (3 of them) and he might've robbed his teammates of a chance of theirvfirst and maybe only (whilst Lynch isn't playing he'd have gotten one of the extra rings they give out)

P.S. they could still very much win anyway in his absence but it makes the task harder.

Yes and earlier than that Gareth hock. In his autobiography Hock said when they came for a random test it was about 7 days after he'd been snorting and he knew it stayed in the system for 8 days so he had an idea it would be positive.

Yes but the club don't have to automatically sack you if you test positive. That's my point.

I don't suppose they do but it's hard to imagine a scenario where they wouldnt. Why would you pay a guy who can't play for two years assuming there is any truth in the rumour.
