on a serious note if you all come in one car on sunday you can happily park at my house for a small fee

Not many away fans venture on the western terrace ( behind dugouts) nowadays its always full of wakey. Away fans now always tend to stand on the north terrace (behind sticks) and a few wakey still change ends old school style. If you did stand stand behind dugouts who'll have an eventful time and plenty of banter especially with the rowdies in the new touch line bar above the western terrace, you may get wet even if it's dry.

Tin roofs or souless football stadiums, you can still get soaked in both.

You quote those numbers as though they're something to be proud of ?
We're only a "small" club and there were 1200-1500 at Widnes (and it was on telly)
You big club followers should be taking 2.5k minimum, especially when its only 20 mins away

I'm not sure this covered lark is all it's cracked up to be; I sat under a Grade A roof at Hull FC on Sunday and got bloody soaked.

Yes we do complain about the pother three as i have got soaked at all 3 of them in the past.

You do realise that modern day fans often who take their kids to away games may avoid certain grounds due to such things as no seating, high prices and whether the stands are covered if the weather is bad



It is good though that you are covering the stands and i hope you get a new ground soon then instead of me coming along by myself i will enjoy taking the kids.
I enjoy trips to wakey and all the banter and cannot wait until the kids can enjoy it as well.

It's a wonder there are any of us alive and well enough to post on here at all, having endured the harrowing physical and mental torture of being taken to games by our dads in the middle of winter, and forced to stand on uncovered terraces in the wind, rain and snow. Behave! I beleive it was 2007 or 2008 when we made a cracking start to the season, we sold out the then Pink Link stand on a Friday night. I remember the stewards having to remove the pink link signs at either side of the stand that covered the seats so we could all sit down.

We did get stuffed that night, but hey there were plenty of us there!

I think the roof looks excellent ! It will create a great atmosphere hope you chaps at that end will make it the fortress de la Belle Vue !
